Are we thinking they're pointless.. or slightly helpful (avec calorie controlled diet obv).. or very helpful?

We have some. They are "entirely natural".. (contact Butternut 20mg, Dandelion root, 30mg, dry extract of Boldo (4:1) (?), dry extract of Fucus (5:1) per tablet) bought them from Tesco. DH and I are taking them with meals, watching what we eat and exercising (have joined gym).

Do you think they may be helpful?

DH tried them a couple of years ago, and they gave him incredibley uncomfortable hot flushes, so after 2 days he had to give them up.

The idea of them is to speed up your metabolism, which strikes me as a slightly dodgy thing to do without medical supervision. Yes they are entirely natural, but either they are strong enough to have the potential of undesirable side effects, or they are totally ineffective.

I suspect that if you are dedicated to losing weight, you will do just as well without them.

Save the money for a weekend away when you feel svelte and beautiful.

Well they were only £4...it would have to be a right dive of a hotel..

i've sold loads and never seen them work - suspect because they are bought as part of a diet 'fad' phase (no offense !!)

you'd do better to cut down on sugar and fat, increase veg & fruit and exercise loads - which it sounds is what you are doing !
my advice would be to think of eating healthily as a life plan, not as a diet & forget about counting calories. but then what do i know
