Two stone to lose, when will I see a difference?

A month or so ago, I had two stone to lose to get me to a mid range healthy BMI. A weight that I have been many times before, and makes me a size 10-12 which is ideal for my small frame and 5 foot 1 height.

I’ve lost 8lb so far. Calorie counting and drinking loads of water. Recording everything in MFP. But I can’t see any difference at all and neither can DH. I can’t fit into any clothes that I could when I was this weight before. I didn’t take measurements before I lost weight as I couldn’t face it so I can’t compare those, but I honestly don’t look any different.

How many more pounds to lose before I see a difference do you think?

I noticed a difference at 7lbs, mostly in my face as I'd developed a bit of a double chin. Today is the first time someone has commented and I'm at 9lbs. She said it was my face she noticed too. I haven't seen her for three weeks so that is probably why. Those you see all the time won't notice 8lbs. Your clothes must be fitting better though. I've lost at least a centimetre all over, more in some places. 8lbs isn't massively significant to physically look at, but it makes a difference.

Thanks for your reply. A cm all over wouldn’t make much difference to clothes, you’re right. I am determined to lose more and I will see at which point I am able to get into other clothes. I am guessing at least the same loss again, so just over a stone. I am just hoping that I haven’t lost 8lb of only water! Well done on your 9lb loss.

If you're drinking plenty it won't be water weight. It would be different if you had six stone to lose. Keep at it, you're doing it for your health, not for others to notice, and you're doing really well.

Are you exercising? I notice a difference quickly if I do both. Toning exercise with weights works the best.

Thank you. I am trying to fit into some more clothes to be honest, and the health benefits are secondary. But I am keeping going and I know that my hips and knees are benefitting already.
