Hey everyone.

We have just set a date for our wedding and I would like to lose some weight for it.

Is anybody else in the same boat and would like to join me?

I’m currently a size 16 and would like to get to a size 12, and my wedding is in 7 months.

@TheLastStark the wedding is going to be REALLY simple.
We are just taking 2 witnesses each to the registry office, then take them out for dinner afterwards.
I always swore I’d never get married, and I hate the idea of a big ‘do’ plus complicated family dynamics would just ruin it.

Then in April/May we are having a garden party to celebrate with all of the friends and family.

A merge of different cultures sounds so exciting and fun!

Oh all so exciting Grin basically we're going for a big party, down to earth wedding. Nothing fancy or over the top. I also want to find a dress I can dance and eat in.
@Bookaholic73 my fiancé is an ex professional footballer so he eats whatever he wants. We went to an all inclusive for a week and he put on half a pound.
However we've both quit smoking.

Apparently 80% of weightloss is through diet, 20% is through exercise so it's best to focus on diet. I'm also just not eating crap which is already making me feel much better.
Am trying to keep to 1200 calories per day.
It's all psychological right Hmm

Good Morning everyone!
Last night we went out and had a lovely buffet meal.
I had a few profiteroles (oops) but the occasional treat is fine.
I’m off to do a big healthy food shop today.

Whoop, I’m down 4lbs from when I last weighed myself a few weeks ago!

We are off to a BBQ tonight, so I hope I don’t overdo it!

How is everyone planning to buy their wedding dresses?
I want to get to a size 12, but don’t want to buy a 12 in case I don’t manage it.
I’m not buying a traditional wedding dress, it’ll be a dress from ASOS, so I think it’ll be ok to get it a month before.

Just for reference I’ll be wearing something similar to this

Oooh that's a lovely dress and well done for the drop!

We looked at a venue Saturday and it's not amazing but is definitely a back up if our top choice venue (seeing on Wednesday) isn't up to expectations so fingers crossed.

I've been good today and not had (m) any treats Halo

Bookaholic73 · 06/08/2019 09:22

@TheLastStark I am off to look at reception venues today. I have 3 in mind, but 1 is a backup so I’d prefer one of the others.

I’m planning a super healthy day food wise today. Lots of salad. And I’m craving carrot and coriander soup for lunch. Yummy!

Bookaholic73 · 07/08/2019 10:13

So, I didn’t get around to checking out reception venues yesterday. So I’ll do it today.

I’m doing really well with the food.
Prepped dinner for tonight- whitebait with salad, veggies and potatoes. I’ll not have the potatoes, and have extra veggies instead.

I made the kids and OH some date and nut bliss balls too, although I won’t eat them as I’m staying away from fruit.

Going out surfing tonight, so that’s the exercise taken care of.

How is everyone else doing?

I need 1.5 inches off my middle by my final dress appointment in 6 weeks... I bought a sample dress and it was brilliant value for money, but I need to slim a bit to be comfy to eat.

I've started on slimming world (not paying, just doing it myself) and am seeing a personal trainer twice a week. I really hope it's possible!

TheLastStark · 07/08/2019 17:57

We just saw a venue! Really promising but we're afraid the total price will be a bit more than we wanted.

The guy seemed friendly enough and said he'll send us a detailed pricing so fingers crossed it's good!

Also, why are dresses so bloody expensive! I've messaged a few people on Still White because I can't justify the price!

Bookaholic73 · 08/08/2019 08:23

@CurbsideProphet I’m too scared of buying my dress before I’ve lost some weight.
I think I’m aiming for a size 12 ish.

@TheLastStark have you considered used dresses? Substantially cheaper, but they definitely aren’t for everyone.
We looked at 3 venues yesterday, and chose 1 finally! It offers the super relaxed chilled out vibe we are going for. And it’s within budget!

We estimated that our wedding should come to the grand total of about £1.5k!!

Good morning.

I’ve not lost anymore weight since last week. Not surprised really, I’ve not eaten well. So I need to get serious. It’s 27 weeks today, until our wedding.
If I lose 1lb a week from now till then, I’ll be just below my target.
That even includes losing over Christmas Confused

The low carb is definitely reducing sugar cravings though!

How is everyone else getting on?

TheLastStark · 12/08/2019 10:09

Morning! I had a friend over during the weekend so ended up in a gain :(

I reset my goals on the apps and wiped the slate clean. I had oats with raspberries and 99% dark chocolate today - so yummy and off to a good start.

Also over the moon, finally got my ring back from it's resizing

Bookaholic73 · 12/08/2019 10:54

@TheLastStark yay to getting your ring back!!
I’m not sure what to eat for brunch. Maybe I’ll look on Pinterest for ideas.

Dinner is going to be ‘ surf n turf’ for everyone else. I’ll make mine with cauliflower rice instead of rice.

Bookaholic73 · 12/08/2019 22:52

Spent a few hours surfing this evening, with OH and DS.
That was fun.

Ate a burger and a hotdog as we had another BBQ on the beach. Not worried about that at all.

Sugar is my main issue, so as long as I’m not consuming too many carbs daily, it’s all good.

TheLastStark · 14/08/2019 11:07

Well done @bookaholic73 for keeping it up!

I weighed today and I'm 1lb downGrin also, I think we have a venue!!!

They are emailing over some more details today but the place is lovely and convenient (loads of family coming over so having one central place for them to party/sleep erases a lot of potential issues)
