Slimming world at home

Help!!
Been doing slimming world at home for 4 weeks now, and although I’m enjoying the healthier foods, I haven’t lost a single pound!!

I’ve got the books from a while ago but it’s no longer possible to get to a meeting, and I refuse to pay for 3 months at a go to use it online for help.

Just don’t understand what I’m doing wrong 🤦🏻‍♀️

Can you give us examples of what you're eating?

Caylee22 · 17/07/2019 09:16

So I don’t tend to have breakfast,
Snack banana and apple and a baby bel
Homemade chicken fajita rice (sw recipe) and salad for lunch
Then either sw chips and fish fillet and mushy peas, or ww wrap/pitta with chicken and salad etc
If low on Syns I’ll have treat size Maltesers or glass of wine etc

Plus a few coffees and sugar free pop/water

Sounds ok.

A few things you could double-check:

Do you take milk in your coffee? Are you counting it as Healthy Extra/syns?
Are you using the Frylight spray to cook with?
Are you counting the wrap in your syns?
Do you use salad dressings and are you synning them?
Are you measuring out your wine/milk/cheese etc?
Any other little snacks you may have forgotten about?
Could you manage some breakfast in the mornings? I always eat less throughout the day when I've had a decent breakfast.
Could you try having some SP meals? I aim to eat at least one SP meal a day. Eg. Fruit and boiled eggs for breakfast or grilled chicken and salad for lunch. Definitely helps me to lose weight quicker.

Thanks for the reply!
I am counting the milk/cheese/hex a and b, being super anal about it and carry my little digital scales with me so I can triple check and always over estimate the Syns. Yes to frylight and no I don’t use dressing 🙈

God knows, I thought perhaps the first week my body was just getting used to it but very frustrating now that nothings changing, making me want a pizza!!

Going to try to have 2-3 SP days this week and see if that makes a difference, I think I just don’t deal well with carbs but that’s going to make the diet soooo much harder avoiding free foods from the beginning, was hoping to start cutting those out after the weight loss had stalled rather than straight away 😭

Sounds like you're doing everything right! Definitely give the SP a go but maybe don't try to do full SP days if you think you'd miss your carbs too much. Try SP breakfasts and lunches and then have SW chips or pasta in the evening and really enjoy! Wink

Another tip is to invest the money you save by not buying chocolate and crisps on healthier treats that are a bit more expensive or that you wouldn't have considered before, like cherries or pine nuts (absolutely yummy toasted and added to a salad).

Hopefully you'll see a difference - good luck!
