Checking in to hold myself accountable...

So I lost 2 stone last year, 12st 7 down to 10st 7. Took my eye off the ball I'm now back up to 11st 4.

I'm not one for group diets like WW etc, so I'm just loosely calorie counting at home via MFP etc, but mainly cutting out the sweets, cakes, crisps etc and trying to up the exercise. I walk a lot anyway, but have cycled to work today and will try to do that as much as possible.

Just posting here to keep myself accountable and to stay on the wagon!

Milestone today is that I bought fat free cottage cheese.... It looks disgusting but I'm willing to try and get past this. What can I try it with - just on crackers? I like a buttered toasted bagel for lunch, would that work with cottage cheese?

Hope everyone is having a good day! Evening snacking is my danger time. I have loads of fresh fruit so will make a fruit salad with a couple dollops of Onken biopot yogurt 👍

Warburton Thin bagels are nice toasted and only 125 Calories. Good luck with it all. I’ve just reached my SW goal, so have the same risk of now getting complacent and taking my eye off the ball....

Well done raisins 🏅you must feel amazing!

I need to accept that I will always have to keep one eye on the scales.

The thin bagels are lush, but one doesn't fill me up Hmm

Hello!

I'm the same as you, evenings I become a cupboard raider. I'm shockingly bad!

Following your post for inspiration to get myself motivated!

If evening snacking is a problem, the 16:8 diet might work for you? I found it surprisingly easy to stop snacking once I’d decided to stop eating after 8. It was a bit like flicking a switch in my head! Smile

In case your thread goes a bit quiet, there’s a losing half a stone in June thread. It’s pretty active at the moment, so feel free to join us if you want

Thanks crazzy I did post on there after I started this thread!

I'll look into the 16:8.

I tried cottage cheese for the first time today, had it with Ryvita and sliced tomato for lunch and it wasn't awful, surprisingly!!

Haven't sorted dinner yet. Possibly sausage casserole with veggies. I'm the only one that eats its though so will mean the same dinner for 3 nights in a row to use up the leftovers.

I finish work at 8 so cannot fit three meals in as I start at 5pm and will not eat a meal after 8pm. I just have some fruit and drink water and tea, and eat a larger breakfast and lunch.
