How much do you weigh

Jauralane · 14/05/2019 12:23

I'm wondering how much other people weigh in comparison to their height?

I think I kid myself sometimes that I'm tall(ish) and plenty of other people are my size, so looking for some inspiration/ a reality check!

I'm 5'7 and 14 stone. Size 16-18 in trousers. Following slimming world at hope to get back down to around 10 stone but my first mini goal is to lose a few more pounds and get out of the obese Bmi category Confused

5ft3 9st 7lbs, would love to lose 7lbs but can't motivate myself.

SamBaileys · 14/05/2019 12:28

I'm 9st 8 and 5ft 6. This time two years ago I was 14st 9. I got down to 9st exactly but then 8lbs crept back on..I'm trying to shift it again!

purplelass · 14/05/2019 12:29

5ft4, currently 10 1/2 stone + a size 10.

This time last year I was nearly 12 stone and size 12-14 so I'm looking a lot better than I was but still planning to lose at least another stone.

Jauralane · 14/05/2019 12:31

@SamBaileys that's incredible! Similar starting/ goal figures as me...how did you do it?x

I'm 5'7 too but over 15st and in an 18/20. Busty with it and am at my heaviest ever. Fitness is non existent and I have just signed up for Slimming World and go tomorrow for first weigh in.

Never done SW before, but have done most diets. I find little goals work for me and I have a pair of jeans that are just too tight that I want to get into before the kids break up for summer. After that, I'll find something else in my wardrobe that is close but not quite there. As 80% of my wardrobe doesn't fit me, it shouldn't be too hard to find something!

Good luck for those just embarking on their weight loss journey.

5’7”, 10st. Size 12.

I’m ‘heavy’ for me. I’m a slim, narrow build and generally look better at around 9st. I recently stopped working and became more sedentary so I need to make an effort to drop that extra stone. I might join one of the threads.

elaine26 · 14/05/2019 12:32

I'm 5'5" and currently weigh just over 11.5st. I'm a size 14 and very unhappy with myself. I lost over a stone 2yrs ago, then put it all back on and gained another one. We're going on holiday in July so I'm trying to get rid of at least 1 stone (I'm almost halfway there. I've cut down on bread, cheese, crisps, chocolate and fizzy drinks which seems to be doing the trick. Keep going, we'll get there in the end

SamBaileys · 14/05/2019 12:44

@Jauralane It's a cliche but I changed my lifestyle - stopped eating crap all the time and started exercising. I bought an exercise bike and did 10 miles a day on it until I had got to my goal at 9st. We have a dog and I walk her for miles on days I'm not working. It's changed my life, honestly it has. I've put a few pounds back on lately because we've had so many Birthday parties/meals (and other excuses!) to go to so I need to reign it in again!

NiceLegsShameAboutTheFace · 14/05/2019 12:50

I'm 5'7" and weigh around 9 stones. I'm on a mission over the next couple of weeks to shift the final half stone to get me to competition weight .....

WindsweptEgret · 14/05/2019 12:53

5ft5 and 8 1/2 stone.

Heymummee · 14/05/2019 12:55

5 ft 7, size 10 and I weigh 9st 10 lbs. in September I was 8st 7lbs but didn’t look right at all.

frenchonion · 14/05/2019 16:25

5ft7 9st. I look better slightly slimmer though, 8st6 is my comfortable weight but I have a really small frame, no boobs or hips. Like a pencil. I'm now a bigger pencil. When I'm slightly slimmer I have more curves bizarrely!

Shelbybear · 14/05/2019 16:37

I got weighed recently at my booking in appointment with the midwife and I was 48kg, thought it seemed a bit light but weighed myself next morning and I was 7st 8. I'm only 5ft1. I am a size 6-8 mainly an 8. I'm usually about 7st 10-12 so this is unusually light for me and I've not had any morning sickness 🤷🏻‍♀️

ImpossibleNovelty · 14/05/2019 17:04

I’m 5ft 3 and weigh 12 stones, currently a size 14. Am aiming for 10 stone, but would be happy with 11st for now. I looked ok then and was a large size 12. Have been everywhere between a size 8 and a 16, think I look best at a size 11 Grin

ChristinaMarlowe · 14/05/2019 17:14

5"7 and 12st 6. I was 13st 2 when I found out I was expecting DC2 and have lost a bit and kept it off so far (31wks now). Yep, not so Stealth boast - I've really had to work at the lifestyle change!
I think for my height arpu d 9-10st is ideal but it does depend on your frame.y fee is tiny so I'm much more overweight than someone with aedoim or large frame of the same height. It's all relative. If you feel healthy I'd say you're fine at that weight.

ChristinaMarlowe · 14/05/2019 19:22

Oh my word I've just seen all my typos 🙈 Hope it can be deciphered - basically the size of your frame / bones is just as relevant as height! Sorry!

Lilac3 · 14/05/2019 20:30

I'm 5ft 3 and currently 9 stone 4lbs.

It's a little heavy for me, I prefer to be 9 stone.

I was 13.5 stone at my heaviest (10 years ago)

I've maintained and have never went up past 9.7 stone, and that's only at Christmas.
I don't pretend that it's easy though. It's something I have to work hard at, and takes discipline

Tanfastic · 14/05/2019 20:35

5.5 and 11.5 stone, a size 14.

Currently trying to get back down to 10.5 stone when I'm a comfortable size 12 and feel more me at this weight.

MrsScamander · 14/05/2019 20:57

5 ft 8 and 18 St 0.5lbs

Embarrassing, but at the start of the year I was 20 St 10lbs so I'm taking that as a win!

ImpossibleNovelty · 14/05/2019 22:34

Well done MrsScamader that’s a really great loss. Don’t be embarrassed, you’re clearly doing a lot more to help your health than loads of other people.

Jauralane · 14/05/2019 23:14

Thanks everyone for your responses! Well done to those who have lost weight and good luck to those on the journey like me!x

5"4 14 stoneBlush get married next week really should of lost some...oh well Grin

hippoherostandinghere · 14/05/2019 23:22

I'm 5ft 3 and weigh 10.7. Was 11.9 at one point last year so I'm happy to have lost over a stone. I carry a lot of weight in my stomach so I would really like to lose another stone and see what difference that makes.

MrsScamander · 15/05/2019 07:51

Thank you Impossible Smile

It's been a complete lifestyle change and I've just last week joined a gym and am trying my best to overcome my anxiety when going. I'm hoping to make it to 12 St 10lbs which was my pre-pregnancy weight but my main goal is to be a role model for my DDs (and the littlest one is a tazmanian devil so I need to keep up with her!)

MorrisZapp · 15/05/2019 07:57

I'm five foot three, and currently weigh ten stone and a little smidge.

At Christmas I was 11 stone 6. I have cut out most of the crap, and done loads of walking and running. The other day I walked 12 miles!

I was aiming for ten stone but I'm loving this, and now want to smash ten and go for the high nines.

Those who have lost and maintained, how do you maintain? Is it basically sticking to the same routine that lost the weight?
