What can I do in 8 weeks?

What can I do in 8 weeks to improve my health and fitness? I have a major life event coming up and would like to go into it feeling happier and healthier and less exhausted, as well as looking better. I have a BMI of 33 and would like to tone up a bit. I've joined WW and am doing reduced-carbs within that - so less bread/pasta/potatoes and sugar. Can anyone offer any encouragement about how much I can lose or whether it's enough time to make a difference to my fitness?

How about starting c25k? In 8 weeks you would be nearly finished and your fitness and cardio would have improved a lot and you'd be feeling a massive sense of achievement.

A good way to improve health and tone is to do food Combining, (which is eating fruit on an empty stomach and NOT eating carbs and Protein at the same meal) and pilates type stretches every day. Don't OD on caffiene or alcohol but drink plenty of water and herbal teas.

I've got abs and a waist line that I never had when I was 21 and size 8!

You can make a massive difference in fitness in eight weeks time. It can be something really simple like going for a brisk walk for 30 minutes during the week, and an hour at the weekend.

Just doing that will make you feel loads better. But if you want to do something more energetic there’s always C25k.

The best thing is that, if you’ve not done much exercise recently, you’ll really start noticing the difference to your health pretty quickly. Good luck Smile
