A friend who I haven't seen for a long time looks amazing and she said she read this ladies book and used her method.

I have signed up online for the 14 day challenge - it costs about 21 quid for a getting started check list with video's and the for the next 14 days there is daily videos.

I have gone through the check list this morning and its quite straight forward. Having just failed at another diet...this one explains how sugar and flour are messing with my brain and the only way through is total abstinence. So...from a vantage point of rock bottom desperation here I go again!!

Anyone want to join me?

Hello @huggybear16 and @blondie1984

How are you both? I am still doing it. I haven’t wobbled yet. As it’s so much food -it’s almost an overwhelming lot of vegetables- there isn’t really a chance to be hungry.

So week one weigh in yesterday I lost 7lbs.
I went from 11 stone to 10 stone 7 But I didn’t loose any inches. So it’s all water. But it’s a start!

Lose not loose

Hi twinkle

Because of my off-the-wagon-ness for the last 3 days before weigh in, I didnt weigh in! I knew I'd have a gain, and I know a gain would cause me to stay off the wagon for longer. I'm back on it and will weigh next Monday instead.

That's great that you've lost 7lbs! Especially as you don't normally lose in your first week. You must be so chuffed with that, great result Star

Even though no inches have gone yet, it wont all be water! How are you feeling now? Is it getting easier? 9 days in a row without a wobble is a huge achievement too. Well done twinkle

Hello,
Thanks so much. Yes it was a great result and I can see the puffiness going from my face which is really good.
Today I can’t stop thinking about food!! I am trying to distract myself by being here. I have got a family dinner on Friday and am out on Saturday- so they are upcoming challenges. You are getting straight back on it! Do you have a particular goal date in mind?

Can you pick foods that would be close to your plan at your family dinner? If not then just enjoy yourself but not go OTT on the food and drink.

It's those kind of dinners that throw me off, but yes I'm back to being healthy now.

I don't have a date in mind, but I do have a target. I used the NHS BMI calculator and they think, for my height, an acceptable range is between 43kg and 57kg, so I'm aiming for the middle at 50kg. I started at 62kg and am now between 55 and 56 (not sure as haven't weighed in a while).

Sent too soon.

Do you have a target in mind twinkle?

Hello! How has the last few days gone? @huggybear16

I am 5 ft and so really I want to be about 8 stone. It seems like a far away dream at the moment. I would take 9 stone if I could maintain it.

So I have made it to day 14 of the 14 day challenge that I signed up for.

Here are the pros and cons of Bright Line Eating as far as I can see it:
Pros
I really like writing down what I will eat the night before. It sets a clear intention.
It has forced me to get my lunch ready the night before
I have had to be a lot more organised all round which is good
I don't have dark circles under my eyes anymore
My skin and eyes are looking really clear
I have had no IBS which I usually have a lot
I liked the structure and the four brightlines to guide it - its worked for me
There is a really nice facebook group
I never felt hungry

Cons
Too much veg - it was overwhelming

All in all with or without weight loss I am really glad I did it as I was verring off into a very unhelpful out of control track. I am going to carry it on but with less vegetables and adding rice/quinoa a lunch to give it some variety.

I will let you know the weigh in result tomorrow!!

Hi twinkle

Thanks for the update. I'm so impressed that you've stuck to that for 14 days! I have never stuck to anything for that long! I hope you get a good result on the scales.

I guess you can continue using some of the principles of this, ditching some of the veg and replacing for something you enjoy more?

I had a mostly good week (following my really bad week) and overall lost 0.2kg - so I'm roughly the same as before my bad week. I think this is to be expected, the good almost cancelling out the bad.

What is the plan for you now? If you want to carry on and want to chat, there is another thread that I have recently joined - slenderistas in the title somewhere! The posters on there really are lovely and so supportive.

thetwinkletoescollective · 11/03/2019 21:42

Hello, well I lost 1lb so that was 8 in total. It was good. Onwards I go. I will check out the slenderisters! ! All those 0.2’s will add up! X

Wowsers twinkle

8lbs in 2 weeks is great. It is especially great for you as you don't usually lose so quickly!

Please do come on over to chat. Some posters have been there for a long while and are maintaining now, others are like me and are on and off the wagon periodically! There are also a few 5'-ers so they know how every lb makes a difference!
