I went out for a pub lunch with friends today and it got me thinking. I put on weight very easily and when I do it goes directly to my stomach so I resemble Mr Bump or look very pregnant. If I eat a big meal my stomach immediately changes shape and very obviously protrudes. A couple of my friends however can eat loads but their stomach stays completely flat and they gain weight around their hips or thighs (but this doesn't appear to happen instantly after the meal). I think I'd much prefer to gain weight sideways like them as it's less noticeable and you don't get that instant bloat and change in shape that I get. I feel I am like one of those constrictor snakes who when they swallow a rabbit or something you can see the shape of it - that's like me and my lunch.
