Has anyone tried slim fast?

Hi all, I am 3 weeks PP with my 3rd and although I know it is early to think of dieting, I am really depressed that I have 3st to lose. I never seem to have time or enough hands to make myself a proper breakfast or lunch so end up scoffing biscuits and whatever else I can open and eat one handed (newborn + 20 month old at home!) So wondered if meal replacements in the day might be a better option? Has anyone had any success with SF or similar? Thanks

Ps I am not BF so dieting won't affect baby!

I bought the 7 day pack from Tesco and sm going to do that and then might move on to the No S diet or Slimming world after that.

I think it's a bit too early for you to do it so soon postpartum, but you could ask your GP

Thank you for your response :) yes I think 3 weeks (now 4) is too early... just not getting enough sleep to do anything but crave sugar and quick fix foods... depressing but there we are. Please let me know how you get on with it as I would like to try in a few weeks' time (when I pray baby is sleeping a little more!!!)

Try Exante. Great products, good price and works!
(No, I don't work for them - have lost two stone though!)

I did slim fast after having ds many years ago. Did it for 3 months and gained 4 pounds!!

It made me so hungry I'd have eaten cardboard - I gained so much weight.

Oh dear April. I'm on day 2 and it's going fine so far but we will see!

I think its worth giving it a try but IMO the key words are "meal replacements". If you dont have time or cant be bothered making breakfast, have a shake instead. It'll keep you filled up til lunch. I dont think it's realistic doing 2 every day though. But good as a kickstart or here and there to help keep on track.
