Lucy Wyndham-Read 7 day challenge. Does it work?

Just that really? I can relate to the many threads on here about 'forgetting' to lose 2 stone in time for summer so let's do it now and am v much in that space.

Am on track with knowing what to eat etc to lose weight , no wine until Thursday etc (only day 3 on all of this) but I want to do some exercise too.

I don't get much time at all without being either at work or with the DCs (single parent and tricky to escape the house too) but I saw her 7 day workout recommended on here and just wondered if that's actually long enough in terms of minutes and days to really make a difference ? I have done the shred in the past but I think I need something a bit more short term at the mo to keep me motivated!

I did day 1 yesterday and was suitably out of breath. But she makes some pretty hefty promises about 2 inches off your waist line in 7 days as long as you eat healthily too.

Seems to good to be true. Anyone had any success (or experiences) of this workout please?

Hi I stumbled on her 7 minute workout yesterday and om day 2.

I’m an apple with about 3st to lose, I’ll stick with it as I’ve not exercised for ages and need to start somewhere.

I am on day 6 of her challenge to lose an inch from your waist. I was hoping to tone my waist rather than lose any weight. I didn’t change my diet at all which is probably why but...

My tummy looks exactly the same. So unless a miracle happens before tomorrow I will have lost no inches and be no more toned. Can’t say I’m impressed although I suppose I’m being unreasonable.

Rainbow I don't think you are being unreasonable.., I think what she promises is a very tall order hence my post! Thanks for sharing your experience

I am very interested in this thread. It's time to get back into exercise as I've lost a good amount of weight with Slimming World and I'm now ready to incorporate exercise.

Very interested in Lucy WR based on (probably the same) recommendation! I think I'll give the 7 day challenge a go, and report back with any inch loss!

I did it for the 7 days, didn’t lose any inches but did feel better and it got me into exercising again. I also feel less bloated. I do it every other day now, along with body fit by Amy on YouTube, she’s very good for low impact workouts.

I did her challenges over summer and lost quite a bit (Had a fair but to lose though!) I did 2 of her 7 min 7 day challenges 5-6 times a week along side healthy eating and lost 6 inches off waist, 5.5inches off my hips 3.5 off my thighs and 1.5 inches off my arms. I lost a stone and a half over 4 months too.
It did get me into an excercise routine and made me feel loads better about myself, I think I did lose an inch or so in the first couple of weeks of doing it. Its a few mins a day, I can fit it around my kids and it is free so worth giving a go!

Ellieboolou27 · 09/10/2018 06:10

magenta wow that’s impressive.
You’ve inspired me to give it another go. 6” off your waist is a few dress sizes. I’ve around 4st to lose how did I let myself get so big I didn’t realise she had more challenges/ tutorials.

magentastardust · 10/10/2018 00:36

I wish it was a few dress sizes! Yes she has loads of different videos just type her name into youtube. I really like the arms one too.

mummatoldmeso · 01/09/2019 10:29

I have been doing it for two weeks and I've lost 4 inches. It worked for me xx
I'm 8 weeks post partum atm and started at 6. I've still got loads of loose skin but it seems to work ❤️
