hi lilibet - my tips are:

  1. have fruit (and just fruit, but lots of it) for lunch. As it's sweet it seems to stop you wanting something else afterwards as you would if you had salad.
  2. leave out at least some of the pasta/rice/potato part of your evening meal and replace it with extra vegetables.
  3. only have low-cal soft drinks, and no alcohol Mon-Fri.
  4. include more fish in your diet - get into the habit of thinking of fish in terms of varieties, not just as fish, in the same way you would think "chicken,beef,pork,lamb" rather than just "meat".
  5. don't try to diet 7 days a week. Allow yourself one or two days off (but not pigging out obviously) each week. It's much easier to say no during the week if you know you can relax about it a bit in just a few days time at the weekend. If you're lucky this also seems to con your body into thinking it isn't actually starving, so it doesn't go into that annoying "no matter how little you eat I'm not going to lose any" mode.
  6. don't buy the things you won't eat - if they aren't in the house you'll have to make an effort to get them, and you'll probably decide it isn't worth it.
  7. think before you eat anything, "will I feel better if I have it, or will I just feel guilty afterwards?". If the answer is guilty, then don't have it.

No guarantees - but it's working pretty well for me so far.

I've been looking at how much you have lost lunarsea and you have done incredibly well. I don't eat meat anyway, slimming world green days only have worked pretty well for me in the past. I am cutting down on the drink, I used to be a half bottle of wine every night girl with extra at weekends (which of course start on a Thursday and end on a Sunday ) but for three weeks before I went away (just got back from a fortnight in France) I went teetotal and lost 3lb very easilt. But now there is the problem of all the lovely lovely wine in the house! I am just going to drink one night a week, which may change depending on circumstances.
Do you so any exercise?
