Tips for actually sticking to a diet

How have you managed to stick to a diet beyond Monday lunchtime? What little tips can you share? And which diet was easiest to stick to?

I'm on maternity leave, still breastfeeding DD2, still getting up several times a night so quite tired, and I'm struggling. I'm struggling even to eat healthy / look after myself, let alone lose weight. Kind of falling into the terrible trap of sorting out the kids, making sure they're ok etc, then grabbing whatever for me with whatever time is left.

I know what I should be doing (lots of fruit and veg, water, lean protein etc etc) - I just can't stick to it. I get too tempted by chocolate and biscuits etc.

Why not take off all treats from your shopping list so there is no temptation in the house. I did this and it’s really helped wean myself off thrm. I did have one binge of the kids biscuits but felt so bad as I didn’t really even enjoy them.
