Losing half my bodyweight safely

So I'm 190lbs and 4ft10. and I really need to lose weight and be fitterand all round healthier. I don't currently experience any sort of health issues associated with being overweight and I'd like to keep it that way and the best way to do that is by losing it. Any advice on how to do this and where to begin. I'm thinking meal planning and cycling/walking till I'm confident enough to join a gym/go to classes or take up a sport.

Whats everyones favourite recipes/snacks and packed lunches thats healthy and low calorie.

I've lost 25% of my body weight and need to lose half in total. It's taken me 6 months to lose the 25% and at first it fell off following slimming world but as it slowed, I started to research more and I started walking 10,000 steps a day, then I started a dance class and then I started couch to 5 k and am now able to run over 6k.

I've switched my food and no longer follow slimmingworld, instead eating lean meats and veg primarily with the odd pasta and rice thrown in but not really any bread.

I also have joined a gym now I am 25% down and have started a 'toning' weight training program.

Build up the intensity slowly I would say and with food you don't have to meal plan, just don't buy things that are bad for you to have in the house, I only have treat things when out for a party or a meal out etc so I don't count anything I eat as a result because I was trying to emulate how my slim, fit and healthy friends behave as ultimately to keep it off I need to overhaul my lifestyle
