9 weeks to holiday

As of tomorrow I have nine weeks to my holiday. Currently 21lbs over what I would like to be and whilst I know I can't lose that in 9 weeks, I want to lose as much as possible.
Anyone want to join me on here to keep each other going?

No particular diet being followed, think I'll do a mix of SW and calorie counting. Also gonna try and get my 10,000 steps per day and do some exercise at least three days a week.

Hoping a thread on here we keep me motivated!

With the right diet you could loose 2lbs a week and if you really worked for it the whole lot. Good luck you can do this

Thank you! I'm going to start C25k tomorrow too, been toying with the idea for weeks but I'm just going to do it and stop worrying about people seeing me when out running.

Good luck Littlepig8834 You could probably lose most of that if you cut your calories enough every week. Good luck! Is it s beach/pool holiday? I find that makes it a bit easier- get out all your swimwear each time you feel weak! I am trying too but finding it a struggle as I now work full time in a stressful job. I have joined a gym to try and make some ‘me’ time.

I'll join you! 8 week's until our hols and I want to lose a stone to feel comfortable. Need to lose more than that in the long run but small steps etc! Planning to do 1200 cals a day 10,000 steps and 4 gym classes a week (les mills type stuff).

My Fitness pal linked to map my run for your exercise.
1200 cals a day.
2lb a week.

It does work as long as you are honest about what you eat and make the right choices.

I'll join too - 15 weeks till my hol and would ideally loose 2 stone but realistically its going to be 1 1/2 stone. Some of it is baby weight but the majority of it was there before!! Im eating 1500cals a day and walking at least 10,000 steps. Might do 30 day shred nearer the time but that might have to be when the baby is a bit older :)

You could lose that on slimming world, especially if you have SP days and lower carbs.
Eg fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, 3 egg omelette and veg for lunch and a SlimmingWorld dinner such as chilli with minimal rice but lots of veg. Snack on fruit, fat free yoghurt, lean chicken... still have a small glass of wine a day or small choc biscuit as syns. You’d lose on something like that!

Thomas welcome! I bet you could lose the whole lot in 15 weeks. I wish I had 15 weeks!!

Been ok so far, lots of salad/veg consumed and managed to do my 10,000 steps. Not exercised much, apart from walking, as I've been too hot which I know is a crap excuse. Going to try and wake up earlier tomorrow and do it whilst it's a bit cooler.

Would be amazing if I could but Im not sure I have the willpower for rapid weight loss anymore!! I quite like that Im not starving all the time so if it takes longer then thats ok :)

Well done on sticking to healthy eating and getting your steps. It is way too hot for exercise plus walking is still better than nothing - well thats what Im telling myself!

Started this week after having no summer clothes to wear at my birthday party. Depressing.
I have a stone to get back to last summer's weight. I also need a change my relationship with white wine

I'm thinking of low carbing as I can really put away lots of fruit in a day and whilst I know it's healthy it's full of sugar. I need to try and curb my sugar cravings.

I’ve got 3 weeks! Ideally would like to lose 7lbs but really just lose the wobbly belly! I fear I’ve left it too late, but bikini shopping has given me the fright I needed Confused

I'm low carving too. Getting some good ideas from slimming world, but not counting things too much. I've done this before, I can do it again

I'm not a huge meat eater so not sure how successful I'll be on low carb. Most SP meals I've seen on SW contain meat, but I guess I can swap for quorn/tofu.

You can tone up in three weeks, I'd recommend Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred and her Shred it with Weights if you have dumbbells/kettlebells

Thanks Little, I’ve just done 30DS and I’m now running 3x pw and doing a HIIT workout 3-4x pw, I think it’s just my diet that really needs sorting!

I've been ill over the past few days, so I think I'll prob get a loss this week but it won't be a proper loss, if you know what I mean!!

Haven't been exercising over the past couple of days either, and I never thought I'd say this, but I actually miss it!!

So, a 4lb loss for me this week, but as I've been ill I know it's not a proper loss. Hoping I don't put too much on next week though.

Hope all are doing well, still no exercise for me as I've had no energy but hoping for a more active weekend!!

Still feel weak from being ill, but hoping to up the exercise this week. Don't think I'll be able to do much cardio but hoping to do some weights. Could do with the cardio though to try and shift the bulk/get the heart rate up!!

Been quiet on here, but I'm 10lbs off where I would like to be before my holidays. If I started running now, would I see a difference toning wise? I go away in 5 weeks.
