Cynical about Xenical

Has anyone been prescribed Xenical (Orlistat) to aid weight loss?

I found it only actually worked for me when I ate something like spag bol.

The fact that you have to eat a low-fat diet when you're on it probably accounts for any successful weight loss, rather than the tablet having any miracle properties.

The crappy (literally!) side effects would be enough for me not to bother.

I have been on it for a week now, as well as attending a local slimming club. I must admit that I have found it quite effective so far, it's really put me off eating fatty foods.
