How have you lost weight?

Can anyone share with me what they have done to lose weight?

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with all the various plans and diets and would rather hear what actual people think!

I have 4 stone to lose!

I just cut my portions right down but carried on eating all the same things I was having before (my diet wasn’t too bad but I used to have enormous portions of everything). I input everything into myfitnesspal and never go over 1600 calories now unless it’s a special occasion like Xmas day or my birthday (and even then I try to not go mad).
I also make sure I do 10,000 steps per day

I'm doing the blood sugar diet alongside 16:8 intermittent fasting. Early days but going fairly well. It gives fast weight loss which is really encouraging plus it's totally changing my taste buds. For me no sugar, bread or pasta at the minute as I can't have a healthy relationship with them just yet.

I've lost 2 stones in six months doing 5:2. I don't eat anything at all on the fast days but otherwise eat normally (although I do generally try and avoid alcohol and refined sugar (cakes, biscuits etc.) as they seem to cause an immediate return of my cellulite ...)

I've lost 18lbs since mid April by low carbing and 30 minutes of HIIT 3 times a week. 11lbs of that is since May 1st when I started exercising.
