Honestly feeling so crap I'm myself!
After having my DD I weighed 11stone 11! This was my 4th baby! After max 9weeks of giving birth to last 3, I have always gone back down to size 10! But not this time I'm struggling so bad to lose weigh! I'm now bang on 12stone - size 12-14! What's yes it's not bad! But I just feel so big in myself :( as I'm normally 9stone 10ish! Size 8-10!
I'm doing the shake diet tomorrow! But honestly need the right mind set :/ as all I can think about it's chocolate! & crap :( anyone have any tips! Or anything on how to stick to a diet! I'm finding it so hard as this is now my 3rd attempt:( how did you all stick to a diet!! What diets did you all try? Thank you! Xx

I gave up sugar completely and it made a massive difference as after a few days you don't crave it at all. The first few days are quite tough though but there are loads of helpful websites on how to do it. Once you don't rely on sugar for energy you find dieting so much easier as what you used to think was hunger turns out to be sugar addiction and once the addiction goes then so does the constant hunger.

I did/do low carb high fat. So also gave up sugar, after about four days the cravings go, because your body is burning fat and you no longer have the insulin spikes that create the cravings and your hunger decreases.

Thank you girls! Today is a new start! I'll do the non sugar thing! As that's what I tend to be bad at!! Mainly chocolate! What yes I know is bad! But find it so so hard! Can I ask if you both lost weigh on it? If so how much please? And in what time frame! Many thanks xxx

About two/two and a half stone this year. I don't weigh myself, just use my clothes.

StormcloakNord · 13/04/2018 08:38

Pleeeeeeeease don't do a 'shake' diet. It won't work. It'll work for about 2/3 maybe even 4 weeks and you'll feel great but as soon as you start eating normally you'll pile the weight back on. This comes from personal experience.

Just track calories, it's science and it's the simplest way to go about losing weight.

Well done bluntness100! That's amazing!! And oh okay! Didn't know it done that :( grhh! Is there like a set amount of calories to eat when on a diet!? I'm going to look for an app to help me see how much calories I'm consuming xxx

The shake diet does work if you stick to it, it only doesn't work if you go off track. I lost 8 stone in 10 months.

Bluntness100 · 13/04/2018 10:03

Low carb high fat is not a calorie controlled diet.

OohOohMrPeevly · 13/04/2018 19:46

Agree with bluntness - if you go low carb high fat you don't need to consider calories. I went from 10.7 stone to 9 stone recently doing that. I'm 5 foot 6 inches so happy with my current weight. Take painkillers for the sugar withdrawal headaches and if you're desperate have a few raspberries and cream to help you through withdrawal then cut the sugar all together. Best book is Nerys and India's idiotproof diet.

Aprilviolet · 13/04/2018 20:10

Thank you everyone, I'm going to try it! And see how I get on!! :) the sugar but will be hard! But if I do need some I'll try the raspberry's! And cream :) xxxxx
