Been on a diet for a week exercising using rowing machine and bike. Even went for a run last week (we won't mention the downhill weekend) anyway plucked up the courage to weigh myself in the first time for ever and fuck. If I've lost any weight this week then it doesn't show.
I go on holiday in 5 weeks. Right now I want to throw the scales out the window. This is the beginning of my weight loss journey and I'm determined to feel better next week.
I CAN do this!

Have you taken measurements?

A bad weekend could have undone all of your good work, especially if you’ve only been dieting a week. Sorry! I know that’s not what you want to hear.

I also think if you've only been dieting for a week and had a bad weekend, it's probably a little unrealistic to expect to lose weight, depending on what you ate.

Exercise is a critical part of it, but it's only 20% of a weight loss journey. Of course that's not the whole story with exercise, when the fat melts away you see muscle definition, your body looks more toned, and of course a pound of muscle takes up much less space than a pound of fat, so you are physically smaller, but to lose weight, it's predominantly about what you eat. You cannot, as they say, out run a bad diet and it would be unrealistic to see the results in a week.

Feeling a lot better in myself today starting doing an hour of exercise bike with rowing machine added in every couple of days. I've gone from managing 314 calories in an hour on bike to 376. Will be taking a rest day tomorrow but keeping up the diet and I hope to see a little improvement in weight next week when I weigh myself. Seeing little results like the above though is spurring me on Grin
