Anyone tried the special k/cereal diet? I want to lose 2 stone to get to my pre baby weight but struggling to stick to any diet Confused So thought id give this a try and wanted peoples opinions to see if it worked for them? My plan is special k for breakfast and lunch then a normal dinner with the family. Tia Sx

Well special k is basically sugar and air so you'll loose weight due to lack of calories but you'll be really hungry. I wouldn't recommend it. Have you tried something like My Fitness Pal?

I did get the app a few months ago but never really gave it a go. Think ill give it a proper try. Thanks for your advice Smile

Like pretty much every fad diet, you'll last for about a week, lose 2/3lbs, feel shit from lack of nutrition and then go back to eating normally and put on twice the weight. Sorry to be harsh but I think you really need to just be honest with yourself.

The only way to lose weight properly and keep it off is to eat less and move more. Download myfitnesspal and be brutally honest with yourself about what needs to change. There's no short cut to losing weight- the trick is consistency, will power and healthy choices. If you're struggling to stick to a 'diet' then don't diet it's as simple as that- instead, change your lifestyle. Your body will thank you for it and you won't pile the weight back on as soon as the 'diet' is over.

Why not swap the special K at lunch for some healthy soup. It makes it a bit more nutritious and less boring. To be honest I'd swap the breakfast for some porridge or eggs. You would still get the same simplicity and you can have what you want for dinner within reason.

Just stick to 3 normal meals a day. Try googling the No S Diet.
