Essential oil flavoured water

Keep your body hydrated by adding a few drops of Orange Plus oil and other Plus oils to your water for a burst of flavour. Low calorie, low cost alternative to fizzy drinks. No sweetener required, 100% natural.

No.

Reported.

LaurieFairyCake · 22/10/2017 19:28

No, it’s not a good idea to randomly add essential oils to water ConfusedHmm

A lot of them are poisonous even in small quantities- essential oils are very highly concentrated

Joern · 22/10/2017 19:28

Thank you

You keep you baby hydrated by during the (non-alcoholic, non-brackish) fluid of your choice whenever you are thirsty.

No snake oil required.

StealthPolarBear · 22/10/2017 19:34

Keep your body hydrated
Aka drinking

ShirleyPhallus · 22/10/2017 19:34

I agree with you. About 60% olive oil to 40% water makes for a refreshing drink imo

scaevola · 22/10/2017 19:48

Let's try that again! My keyboard is being excessively cranky this evening.

"You keep you body hydrated by drinking the (non-alcoholic, non-brackish) fluid of your choice whenever you are thirsty."

"No snake oil required."

Acopyofacopy · 22/10/2017 19:58

Stupid idea. Why not add a slice of orange to your water?

Trills · 22/10/2017 20:18

You sound like you are trying to sell this stuff.

Callamia · 22/10/2017 20:24

No.
You do not just shove some essential oils in water. It doesn't dilute them, because the oil just sits on top of the water. If you want to fuck up your oesophagus, then go ahead - but it's unsafe.

Joern · 22/10/2017 20:25

I have a job. Thank you very much. I am looking for advice. Ever so aggressive.

Advice on what?!

MarthaArthur · 22/10/2017 20:28

I drank essential oils once and ended up sick in hospital with a blistered throat and stomach.

MayFayner · 22/10/2017 20:30

I just drink water on its own Confused

Joern · 22/10/2017 20:30

I have found my answer. Not safe as it will sit on top of water and might damage the oesophagus. I will stick to the good old green tea to loose weight.

Huh?

Trills · 22/10/2017 20:47

You didn't ask a question.

You just instructed us to add (a brand name?) essential oil to water.

Which is a silly idea.

CarolineMumsnet · 22/10/2017 20:50

Erm. So. Think best if we take this one down, and stick to the Wine. Cheers for the reports.
