I am just so fed up with being a couple of stone overweight. I have carried this weight for about four years now.

I am 51 and 5'5 and currently weigh 10'9 (maybe a little more) and carry all my extra weight around my middle and look very barrel like. My legs and arms are not too bad.

I am so pissed off with what I see looking back at me in the mirror and I have to deal with it as it is making me really miserable.

I don't really over eat proper food but I do have a serious sugar habit and consume tons of the stuff.

Tomorrow is going to be all change and I am going to lose my chub.

Please come and hold my chubby hand and join me.

How is everyone doing? Today so far so good 5km run and no junk. Long may it last

Hello, please may I join you? I hit the scales at 10st 10lbs this morning (standing on one leg and breathing in) and I'm 5ft 7in (on tiptoes) so I am technically in the normal BMI range. But I look flabby and round (apart from my forehead, wrists and ankles) and I have to look amazing in a bikini for my hols in ten weeks' time. Is there any hope? I'm cutting out alcohol, added sugar and processed crap to start with. Will that do the trick? Apart from walking and housework I hate exercise. Do you think a diet overhaul will be enough?

How are you all doing? I hope I haven't killed the thread Confused!

I've been having fruit, full fat yogurt and pumpkin seeds for breakfast, herb omelette and salad for lunch and chicken or salmon with roasted vegetables for dinner, with tea and water throughout the day. Does that seem like a good plan?

I will weigh in on Monday, but expect a loss, as it's the first week. Time will tell whether it continues.

Oh, and I've walked loads and cleaned the house from top to bottom today, and done a full shop.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend Smile!
