The less obvious the better! I'll start.

I can fit more items of clothing on the washing line.

Over time I'll save money on shower gel, body lotion and sun block because there's less of me to cover.

Also:
For the first time in my life, instead of thinking I have short legs I could almost describe them as long Smile

AceholeRimmer · 05/07/2017 10:29

Not have to wear cardigans and trousers on hot days!

JiminnyCricket · 05/07/2017 10:36

Going into small toilet cubicles without getting stuck when you try to close the door and navigate around the toilet at the same time BlushGrin

I have shoulders again & and can sit comfortably with my legs crossed.

Don't have to do the careful hover sit on chairs worrying if they will take my weight.

No seat belt extender when flying or train armrests digging in your thighs. Not being a hot red sweaty mess in the summer.

Looking in the mirror and feeling "yeaaaahhhh baby" (has to be said like Austin Powers to make you laugh / add to the feel good factor)

TieGrr · 05/07/2017 10:45

Don't have to spend mental energy on worrying whether I've dressed to hide my shape well enough.

Alcea · 05/07/2017 10:53

My periods are regular (disappeared or became infrequent when I was very overweight), so I can predict when it's due

toffeeboffin · 05/07/2017 19:08

Your poos are smaller Blush

Don't feel like you're being crushed to death by the safety bars on rides.

Yes to not spending mental energy on "will this look okay, oh god don't want to get up right now from this chair as my arse is huge, nothings going to look good, are those young lads passing by going to make a comment, will I have to keep pulling my top down as it's riding up, will I fit in the seats at the theme park" etc etc etc. There is just no thought on any of these things now.. just the calm happiness that I know everything is going to fit in the morning.

ohhhhhshit · 06/07/2017 12:20

acehole You put that so well. The 'mental energy' taken up by being overweight, for me, was huge. And I've only just realised that I don't carry that burden (literally and figuratively) any more.

PickAChew · 06/07/2017 12:26

No longer getting out of breath on the hill you've been walking up every day for years.

WanderingTrolley1 · 06/07/2017 12:28

You can tie your shoes laces without bursting a blood vessel.
