I think I've put on 1lb on holiday which I don't suppose is too bad, hoping to lose it before Thursday though!

How is everyone else?

Hi demented - did you have a nice holiday? I was on holiday too last week but just visited family for a couple of days!

DelGirl · 11/07/2004 01:00

Well done yorkigirl - what diet are you doing?

here sorry

Tortilla chips - Free on Green
Dried lasagne leaves
Fry Light
Cajan spice

Lightly cook the lasagne in boiling water until just soft (approx 4 mins). Drain, dry and cut into triangles. Spray a baking tray with Fry Light, lay the lasagne triangles onto the baking tray and dust with cajan spice.
Bake at 200 C until crisp.Take care! they burn easily
Serve with garlic fromage frais

Chick pea mock peanuts - Free on Green
Open a can of chick peas and drain.
Spread out on a baking sheet, sprinkle over spices (I've used paprika, cajan spices, morrocan spices, garam masala - not all at the same time!)
Cook in a oven at 200 or mark 6 for about 1/2 hour, until dry and hard, a bit like peanuts.
Keep them in a airtight box.

they;re really nice honest! I made some today actually. Usually make a couple of batches a week. The mock peanuts are ok too but not as nice as the tortillas. Serve with hummus or a other syn free dip.

DelGirl · 11/07/2004 01:13

Oh, I spray the baking tray and the top of the pasta too before I srinkle the spices on. They take about 15 minutes i'd say. Right I'm off now.

Demented · 11/07/2004 12:59

Thanks Delgirl I had a really nice time. We were staying in a self-catering cottage on an island off the west coast of Scotland, it was far more remote that any of us had expected so became a bit of a food and wine fest, very nice kitchen stocked with great equipment just waiting to be used. The track up to the cottage was so scary I didn't want to drive it, left that up to DH, so didn't manage any exercise classes and it rained so much that we barely did any walking. I suppose I should consider myself fortunate I only put on 1lb !

Hope you had a nice time.

Oh can anyone doing Weight Watchers tell me how many points my DH would be allowed? I think he has crept up to about 16 stone now and has realised he needs to do something about it. He is quite fit, does a fair bit of exercise, just eats like a pig!

Oooh Demented, which island? I love Scotland.

roisin · 11/07/2004 15:55

Demented: WW men 16-18 stone 32 points, 14-16 stone 30 points.

Hope he wants to join you in this. My dh has been doing WW (going to the groups and everything) for 9 weeks. He's lost 6" off his waist, and has lost 36 lb! I'm so proud of him.

Demented · 11/07/2004 21:18

Thanks Roisin, that's load of points ! Well done to your DH!

Bunnyrabbit, it was Arran, it was very nice, can I shamelessly plug the cottage we stayed in here . It easily slept six adults and four children although could have accommodated more.

My weight is on wits weigh down again after stayingthe same last week

bunnyrabbit · 14/07/2004 12:37

No change for me.. but then I've been a very bad girl this week, culminating in yummy icecream at the cinema last night.

I have slapped my wrists and spoken to myself firmly (am hoping DH will do the same tonight ) and will be good next week.
