I'm doing 5:2 with slimfast shakes (i say 'doing' only done a couple of days so far)

I'm using premade shakes, but was thinking about the sugar levels in there - does anyone know much about protein powders etc so i could make my own?

how much do I put in of how much? Milk, stuff etc

I'm also only a couple of days in. Porridge for breakfast, miso soup and grated peeled carrots and a couple of raisins for lunch and an omelet (two eggs) and salad for dinner. Or alternative a pre-made soup and half a bread for dinner. Or cottage-cheese and salad and tomato for lunch. I don't think I could do it with Slimfast shakes or any other type of shakes either...

i've done 3 now with slimfast, and found it much easier as i dont have to think about food etc or measuring out ingredients

Started using slim fast shakes for breakfast and lunch just over 3 weeks ago, I have a normal family meal every evening. I am watching portion size and protein and carbs with evening meal but eat same as family. I have fruit as snacks at least 3 times a day and trying to drink 2 litres of water a day. I have bought a step counter watch and aim for 5000-10000 each day. I weigh fortnightly at weight management clinic and lost 3kilos at my first weigh in. Second weigh in due at the end of next week and am hoping for 1-2 kilos. Have found the shakes really tasty, I use the powder with 1%fat orange lid milk and blend with ice cubes, it tastes like a well known milkshake to me and I pour into a tall glass and use a straw. I'm not that keen on the ready made bottles as they are very sweet. I have an awful lot to lose so I will stick with this for 12 weeks at least.

Had weigh in yesterday lost 1 lb slightly disappointed but has been away on a girls weekend where I was eating/drinking (alcohol) normally but went straight back on slim fast on the Monday. So 4 weeks on it and total lost is 7.5lb. Weigh in another 2 weeks.
