Cutting out alcohol?

I see a PT every week and after the initial weight loss/toning up, I seem to have plateaued.
Has anyone else seen much success from cutting out alcohol? I'm aware that it's empty calories, and discovered today that it slows your body's metabolism, so would slow any weight loss.
I don't think I drink a lot but maybe have a couple of glasses of wine roughly 3 days a week, sometimes more...

Yes, try it! If you like having nice things to drink, try a reduced sugar squash or a decaf tea/coffee with an artificial sweetener, if you take sugar. From a health perspective, a small smoothie would have similar calories but would be much better for you in the long run. I've tried drinking alcohol free wine, but I don't really like it.

When you do ever drink, if your only aim is to get intoxicated, your best bet is something very hard like vodka mixed with something like diet coke.

I quit booze four weeks ago and haven't lost an ounce. so, on the bright side, maybe I didn't drink that much to begin with
