Anyone tried ADIOS?

Hiya... I am dieting at the moment with weight watchers. I lost 12 lbs pretty quickly but now my weight loss has ground to a halt even though I am still sticking to my points and exercising as much as I can. Was thinking of picking up some Adios this weekend - anyone try it???? Is it any good?

Total waste of money - for me anyway - it made no difference and as it speedds up your metabolism just made me hungrier!

GhostOfMumsnet · 15/02/2007 21:19

oh come on eenybeeny if it was as easy as taking a pill we would all be doing it. stick at the ww and exercise.

tiger8565 · 23/02/2007 08:56

I agree with Pesme.... Healthy eating and some exercise will probably do wonders for you...more than taking any tablet will do anyway...

I could bet money on it that those who have lost will have followed a healthy diet and a little bit of exercise as well on their trials.

You are setting yourself up for failure if you think you will lose just by taking a couple of tablets a day. Losing weight has to be a lifestyle change for 98% of people.

Following something like weightwatchers/slimmingworld will see you with some good results in your weight loss. If you go to a group or not, you will meet new friends who will support you along your way, and if you decide to go it alone there are plenty of people on here to support you, all you have to do is ask.

I never said I would only take a pill and hope to lose weight. I am dieting AND exercising and I am still not losing. This is because of a side effect of some medication I am on which I cant do anything about so I was hoping the adios would counteract that side effect. No need to get snooty with me about it.

sorry eenybeeny didn't mean to sound so pissy but i don't think those pills are a good idea. have you talked to your ww leader about it?

themaskedposter · 25/02/2007 16:55

I use them - that and eating healthy (and smaller portions) and excercise ... I think that it is the fact of taking the tablet that reminds me not to 'over-indulge' IYSWIM

eenybeeny · 25/02/2007 17:05

Its ok Pesme.

I cant afford to actually go to the WW meetings so I just follow the diet on my own.

Well I may try the pills for a week and see if it helps or makes me feel ill or anything. I am also getting my specialist to look at the meds I am on that have weight gain as a side effect. I have put on 3 stone since having my baby in August and I hate it. Since then I have lost one stone.
