Am I calculating this right?

Been on fitbit since mid-September. I don't weigh, but count calories like a demon.

My weekly report tells me that, for each week during fitbitting, I have accrued a calorie debt of 3500 cals each week (average).

As I'm told that 3500 cals = a pound, does this mean I have lost 5/6 pounds since Mid -September? please say yes.

In a perfect world 3500 calories deficit should lead to about 1lb weight loss. That doesn’t mean you will have actually lost that weight though. You may have lost less, or more or nothing. Depends how your body reacts to not eating as much, what age you are, hormones. Probably many other factors. The only way you can find out if you have lost 5/6lb is to weigh yourself. If you feel your clothes getting looser that might be a good indicator that you are on the right track.

blue I've definitely lost weight, but I'd be surprised if I'd lost that much. I've fittened up a lot too, so feel better and more toned.

And I'm into a size 10 in jeans, albeit a morale-boosting, Sainsbury's stretchy pair. Halo.

Just wondering how the science works..
