James Duncan diet

I'm overweight...probably need to loose 4 or 5 stone in total to get my bmi in the healthy range. I had dc2 at Xmas and have lost 2st 4 on slimming world. We've just been away for a week and I know I'll have put at least 3 or 4 lb back on whilst we've been away.

I need a kick start (again Blush. Dc2 christening is in 3 weeks and I'm supposed to be much thinner dammit!) so plan on doing the James Duncan diet for a week and then carrying on with slimming world. As misery loves company, I was wondering whether anyone else is doing it or has done it?

I've tried it before but never made it past day 3. I'm thinking I might stick to it better if I have people to kick me up the bum when I reach for the kids snacks...

There have been threads on it before, if you search, never tried it, but often thought about it. I have lost weight using the 8 week blood sugar diet, which is also low cal and low carb (there is a thread here bsd and also a forum that explains it all . The book is only £3.50 on amazon

Hope I am not derailing but it is a bit more flexible than Duncan so worth looking at!

I heard about it on here a while ago but it won't let me search past threads on the app.

That book looks interesting though. Not come across that diet before. Will get that and try it if the Duncan diet doesn't go do well. Though I'm 5 hours in now and have stuck to it so far! This afternoon will be the challenge as I'm off to soft play which is normally only (just!) bearable with a large slice of cake ConfusedGrin Wish me luck!

Oh good luck! Soft play {shudder} hope you got through it with sanity intact Grin It was the infamous shitters tea thread!
