Until we got a beach holiday. I am a stone overweight, and have a huge tummy. I know that wonders cannot be worked in a week, and I need to overhaul my eating completely. But what can I do in a week that will help? No childcare or time really to do much exercise but I will probably manage an exercise dvd a couple of times.
But, as for eating. What would be best? No carbs or sugar, and plenty of protein and veg?

I really rate the blood sugar diet, I found the first few days extremely difficult but that's a reflection on how much I relied on sugar! It reads a lot tougher than it is, 800 cals a day means quite a lot when you've removed sugar and carbs (well, drastically reduced them!). Focus on the fun you're going to have on holiday though, diet or no diet!

Oh, the average weight loss on this is 14kg in the 8 weeks. I lost just over 3kgs in 5 days!

I did over half a stone in a week last year on a diet of tuna, apples and fizzy water.
It did make me ill though-picked up a stomach bug and then lost another 3 lbs!

Tuna, apples and fizzy water?! What made you decide on those three things, and how much of each did you consume?! Genuinely interested, really. I've done what I thought was a hardcore diet for quick weight loss in the past (bivouacs didn't work) that involved very limited dairy, fish, lean meat, raw and cooked veg, and apples and berry fruits.

I've read about the blood sugar diet in the past. I would like to give it a go, but I've left it too late to give it a decent stretch of time. I will come back to it I think. Congrats on your weight loss.

it was mainly just easy things to eat as the more I faff about with preparation the more hungry I get. I had eggs too actually so it was 2 eggs for breakfast, fizzy water and apple at lunch, fizzy water and tuna at dinner and early bed.
I wouldn't recommend it really!

Chemical diet. I did this a few years ago, lost 11lbs in a week and it gave me the push to lose a lot more. I was very big tho. Wouldn't recommend it really but worked for me as a hard crash.
Personally I don't think it's got owt to do with chemicals is just low calorie but I found it good to have a plan to follow.

Boiled eggs, grapefruit and black coffee for a week. Do it do it do it!
I plan to have a week of this when I come back from holiday to drop the half stone I will have gained...
WellTidy · 16/07/2016 22:43
I hate eggs, sorry. Quite like coffe and grapefruit with a tonne of sugar though. I like them in pancakes, cakes, meringues etc, but couldn't eat one unless it was part of a sweet dish.
What is a chemical diet? I am intrigued!

I'm going to a wedding next Saturday and I'm fatter than I'd like to be! Maybe we could buddy up? Share menus / tips etc?
WellTidy · 18/07/2016 08:40
I don't know if I will be a positive influence Twinkle as I exchanged my nectar points for one of the two pizzas In Pizza Express deals yesterday, which DH and the DC and I shared, but I also had garlic bread, pudding and an Irish coffee for good measure.
I have started afresh today. I am going hardcore. No sugar or carbs. I know its still very very early in the day, but I am on track! Its my tummy that I would like to reduce more than anything at this late stage.

Good luck on your soup diet!
I'm just going to try and eat healthy and follow slimming world. I didn't weigh this morning, didn't want to depress myself.
Had Aldi special K and skimmed for breakfast with a machine coffee.
Got chicken salad for lunch.
Lamb roast and veg for dinner. I think I may skip the potatoes.
Twinklestar2 · 18/07/2016 16:09
How is everyone getting on today?
Whatthequack · 18/07/2016 16:23
I've a job interview in two weeks, and I'd like to try and lose as much as I can. I've had French toast for breakfast so I might just have an apple for dinner to balance it out. I'm also taking multivitamins and fish oil so hopefully my energy levels don't plummet.
