Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else has tried the special k diet & how u got on with it.
I've been doing it for a week and a half now and was doing ok at first but am finding I'm sooo tired and lifeless and wondered if it was to do with that.
I really wanted to loose weight quickly so thought I'd do this. For anyone who's done it did u put the weight u lost back on when u started to eat actual breakfast and lunch

To quote another MNetter "it's shit in a box"

There is sod all nutritional value in eating special K several times a day. It is no wonder you feel tired.

Eating ripped up cardboard twice a day will have that effect on you...

Or cardboard in a cardboard box.

Try real food, but less of it. If calories in < calories out you will lose weight.

It has little or no nutritional value. It's also horribly sweet. Isn't it full of sugar?
Eat good, proper food. Whole food. Not processed shit. Lots of healthy protein and veg and you will soon have energy again.

This diet was around when I got married more than 10 years ago, I cannot believe it is still standing!!! To Room 101 with all the other diets out there. You are lacking in real micronutrients, hence the tiredness. If you're not careful your hair will fall out and you will become very ill, and will regain twice the weight you lost.

It only 'works' because you eat tiny portions for two meals. It is shit food though. More calorific and sugary than frosties! Swap the special k for a more nutritional meal of similar calories e.g. two poached eggs or some porridge.
