My weigh in day today......... 11st 13lbs, hurrah ! Seem to have broken out of that soul destroying plateau

Joelallie, I'm jealous..... I want some rats too (and so does dd), but at the mo with a cat and two lurchers I wouldn't rate their chances, although the dogs were very good with some ferrets that we once had............ hmmmmmmmm.

Had no breakfast again today . I know I should but I was in a rush, and dashed out without picking anything up. Did have a coffee with cream though.
Lunch, again on the run, was a couple of slices of lunch tongue from the deli counter.
Back home now and have just had another coffee with cream, and a pint of water.
Supper will be steak with broccoli, sp onions, green pepper, creme fraiche and shed loads of black pepper..... and lots of water.

Well I 'm in the fortunate position of having absolutely no social life, so parties and trays of nibbles will not be coming my way. And I am limiting the amount of crap I buy for the guests.

ideas for carbless-friendly nibbles? Nigella did dired figs with goats cheese in parma ham parcels. Seemed good diet-wise but my common-as-muck family wouldn't go for it lol.

frogdelalune · 15/12/2006 14:30

dired figs ernest?? they don't sound very appetising

I'm with you - fortunately I have no social life (couple of hermits me and dh) but we are going to my parents for Christmas and they'll have a house full of goodies.

I'm not beating myself up about it though and will be giving myself a free rein for one week and one week only

Don't think that figs 'dired' or dried would be good idea. Dried fruit is fruit with all the sugar concentrated.

Nuts and cheese are good. And all dried meats.

NOELallie · 15/12/2006 14:38

I've had my social life this christmas - 2 meals! Going to a concert tonight with kids but not nibbles or booze involved.

ernest · 15/12/2006 14:57

well, if I made them, they mgiht well be dire, lol. It was only a tiny bit of fig, like a sixth of one ahem dried fig in each little parcel.

Are olives evil? Just for personal consumption again. Even if my lot were posh enough to eat them, I can't bare (or is it bear?) the thought of all that stone spitting.

Crotchety · 15/12/2006 15:34

Have a great time at the concert Noelallie!

hi can i join in please

i started the 2 week induction of the atkins diet on tuesday when i weighed 12st 10. ive weiged myself today and weigh 12st 5. yay!!

did anyone else get board? its only been 4 days and im sick of eating meat.

thought it was a good idea to start the diet just b4 xmas as being on a diet gave me an excuse to say no to all the choccies, cakes and mountains of mashed potato and butter (yummy). now im not so sure. im refusing to even walk into my kitchen as i am so tempted to grab the french stick and butter.

anyone got any tips on getting rid of these cravings. is there any alternatives that i can eat.

and

has anyone got any receipe suggestions. i need help before i give in.

thanks
natalie
