Party food on a diet - help!

We're having some guests round on Halloween (children and adults) and I'm buying some party food today. My natural instinct is sausage rolls / pizzas / cake etc. Does anyone have any suggestions of healthier alternatives that won't make me look like a complete weirdo? I'm thinking of getting lots of crudités and fruit but for the more substantial food, what's better than the usual sausage roll crap? I have a little bit of time for food prep but I'm not making much from scratch. Thank you!

As it's Autumn what about doing some pots of chilli / soup with rolls for the adults? You can get party stuff for the children?

Baked potatoes as well unless you are low carbing?

Ooh yes, both good ideas! I'm not really doing anything official Petra, just trying to avoid the most obvious crap!

Crudites and dips are fine : so long as you stir food colouring into the hummus to make it go wild colours

Cherry tomatoes are balls of blood
cucumber skinned before chopping is rotting flesh
carrot circles are sliced bones
cocktail sausages (without pastry) are demon droppings
its all in the labelling Grin

and for adults : loads of mini jacket potatoes that people can load with cheese or chilli or beans and then eat one handed

Pitta/carrot and hummous/salsa
Baked potatoes a good idea or even baked sweet potato.
Fruit (who doesn't like fruit?!)

Chicken marinated in soy and ginger and stuck on cocktail sticks

Have a chocolate dip with the fruit to make it look more partyish.
