One month slim down

Hi everyone
Please can I ask some advice?

I've been struggling to lose weight since baby number 2 (2.5 years ago!!!) and I feel pretty fed up with it. It's like my metabolism has packed up totally (I'm 35 now). I think I eat fairly healthily with not much junk or overeating, but whereas before it was always so easy to slim down and I was a petite size 8, I'm
Now a 12-14 and about 2 stone heavier than I really want to be.
Anyway, hubby is turning 40 next month and we're off to Vegas to celebrate in style (we live in U.S. Currently so it's not that far!) and I really want to look glam on his arm. I bought a gorgeous dress but find it makes me look lumpy and frumpy... What do you all swear by for effective healthy weight Loss in a month? (I'm not expecting miracles but it would be nice to lose the bloat and a couple of pounds.)
I'm thinking low-carb, green tea in place of coffee, omega 3 supplements, lots of water, no booze, more walking and a couple of exercise classes a week? Any other must-tries? WhAt diet plans have been successful for you? Is 21-day fix worth the money? Maybe a juice detox? Still feeding a fussy family so can't be too extreme with dinners etc... Thanks in hope!

I wouldn't do it long term, but maybe a slim fast type thing/meal replacement might be a quick solution? Also the right dress and underwear can work wonders so consider changing your frock?
Also, I've seen pretty amazing transformations if you've got the willpower to do Jillian michaels 30 day shred dvd

MamaLizard · 24/10/2015 16:02

Thank you! Yes. Must buy Spanx! I will check out Jillian michaels too :)

I lost nearly 3 stone with Paul Mackenna, yes a good idea to also cut right down on caffeinated drinks, another idea is to eat fruit on an empty stomach.

Also eat before and after the hours of 7.30pm and 7.30ish. I KNOW all these work for me and dh btw Grin Good luck Grin

Wheat belly will stop you from looking bloated and the 30 day shred to tone up. I suggest you google results for inspiration - some people have amazing results!
I don't weight myself, but after 2 months of wheat belly my clothes are falling off me. I have had house guests for almost a month, but they leave tomorrow so I will start with the shred again.

I 2nd. Wheat Belly have you read Grain Brain Alligator? You'd never touch muesli again!!

helenahandbag · 27/10/2015 10:52

I would second a meal replacement/VLCD if you're just doing it for a few weeks. You can lose a stone or more on a VLCD, I lose 9lbs in my first week on Cambridge.

lost*

But the ingredients list is too long, full of chemicals, not to my taste. I prefer to eat real food not a plastic imitation. It's easy to lose weight eating real food Grin
