MFP nutrients - are they accurate?

I'm coming out with really low values for most nutrients (except vitamin C). Even sodium seems really low. Does anyone else find this?

Where does it tell you about the nutrients?

I have noticed it sometimes has nutrients missing. How is its database put together is it just from members adding foods? I use it to count net carbs but quite often foods have no fibre listed.

Mostly its just users that fill in the details as they add new items to their diary. I've noticed recently some items have a blue tick beside them as verified items.

Ah, I've just gone into some of my foods to have a closer look. I didn't know you could do that. So a steamed carrot portion has no vitamin c which is obviously incorrect.
