DIET BUDDY WANTED

missroma · 25/04/2015 11:30

Hi, I am hoping to find a diet buddy to help lose a couple of stone, well two and a half stone actually. Encouragement urgently needed, maybe we could text/watsapp/email to keep each other motivated. I am seriously fed up carrying this weight but just can't seem to get started. Anyone feel the same? Hope to hear from you x

ME!!!

I am currently 13st. 10.7 would see me at about a size 10. How would you like to keep in touch?

missroma · 25/04/2015 15:07

Hi, so happy to have a reply. How about an email so we can tell our story then maybe support texts to each other. Don't really mind but something has to be done! What are your thoughts?

I'm happy to do that. I'm going to start Weight Watchers on Wednesday, alongside My Fitness Pal I think. Will pm you my email address.

treasure84 · 25/04/2015 16:39

Can I join you both for this.

I am currently 13st 7 and love to be anything below 12st to be honest. I have tried numerous times to lose this weight but accountability with others is what I need.

missroma i have just read you other post here...i could have written that myself. I have a serious love of chocolate and give up my healthy eating plan daily... i just don't seem to have any will power at the moment.

If you both have my fitness pal maybe we could view each others food diaries. Can also send either other messages through their as well I believe.

CatthiefKeith · 25/04/2015 18:23

Fine with me treasure. The more the merrier. Smile

firesafety · 25/04/2015 18:39

Tempted to join the club.

I could have written treasure's post.

treasure84 · 25/04/2015 19:00

firesafety, come join us.

If any of you are on my fitness pal private message me your user name and we add each other as freinds so have that accountability we all need!

ShellyF · 25/04/2015 19:02

Me too please!

CatthiefKeith · 25/04/2015 19:31

Treasure have pm'd my username. Can we start Monday? falls at first hurdle

treasure84 · 25/04/2015 19:49

Just added you as a friend - Monday sounds good. I have a 3 year olds birthday party tomorrow. I plan to resist all chocolate but we will see how i go!

Need to get into the habit of logging everything on my fitness pal. I usually start with good intentions but once i know i have strayed stop logging.

I have to just log everything and accept that if i go over the calorie intake will set me straight the next day. I have set mine at 1480 calories per day as recommended by my fitness pal - that will be 1lb a week weight loss. Going to make Monday's my weighin day - that should keep me on the straight and narrow over weekend.

firesafety · 25/04/2015 20:19

Monday good for me too. :)

treasure84 · 27/04/2015 08:11

Right ladies today is the day! I have weighed myself and logged breakfast this morning. Aiming for 1lb a week. Is everyone ready?

ApignamedJasper · 27/04/2015 14:20

Can I join too :D

I started last week, I'm 5ft 4in, was 82kg, now 79.3kg (scales don't weigh in stone, sorry, it's somewhere around 13st).

I'm currently a 14/16, would love to be a size 10/12 don't really care how much I weight just want to be bit more toned and healthier.

Not doing a specific diet just eating 'cleaner' and doing a bit more exercise!

CatthiefKeith · 27/04/2015 15:00

Right. I've weighed in (13st dead on)

I've had some salad and a jacket spud (a small one)

I've drunk 3 pints of water, and according to my ww pedometer I've walked 4 miles so far today.

How is everyone else doing?

treasure84 · 27/04/2015 15:18

Great work cattheifkeith, I have morning on school trip walking around a farm. Really must get a pedometer! Food not great as had some chocolate, but should still be within by 1500 calorie allowance for day.

More than welcome to join us apignamedjasper if you want to be added as a friend on my fitness pal just let us know your username....i will try and set up a group on there ( just need to work out how)

firesafety · 27/04/2015 23:35

Just logged my stuff. Bit of an odd day - gym then work then straight to the theatre, so good exercise and very little food eaten (very unusual!). Tomorrow I'm in Birmingham followed by colleague's leaving do, so eating out but little exercise....

firesafety · 29/04/2015 21:02

How's everyone doing?

CatthiefKeith · 29/04/2015 21:39

I've been quite good today.

Panini for lunch, ham and small amount of cheese omelette for dinner.

Weighed in at 12.12 and a half at chub club, which is a) less than my scales by 1.5lb and b) brilliant for 7pm at night. I fully expect to be at least 2lb lighter in the morning than I am in the evening so off to a good start.

Mfp all updated, and according to the pedometer I've walked 3 miles today.

firesafety · 29/04/2015 21:48

Well done!

I've had an odd week - really good on Monday, then meetings (biscuits and no gym) and night out yesterday/more sensible today then another night out tomorrow.

Story of my life, lol.

CatthiefKeith · 30/04/2015 10:24

Feeling qute motivated today after WW last night. Have made myself chicken salad for the next 3 days at work, and some sugar free jelly.

I've also upped my water intake massively, I drink several (at least 8) cups of black coffee every day so am aiming to change that and drink at least 2 litres of water per day.

Saturday is going to be tricky though - dh has a rare Saturday night off and we are going out for dinner and drinks, so hoping if I am really good before and after I can offset some of the damage.

CatthiefKeith · 30/04/2015 10:25

misroma where are you? You are the op of this thread, you can't just disappear!

firesafety · 01/05/2015 16:40

Catthiefkeith - enjoy your night out! One meal won't ruin your hard work. I give myself permission to eat whatever I want, but then aim to choose sensibly (sometimes more successfully than others, lol), perhaps two courses instead of three? And consider alternating your drinks with a low-cal soft drink?

treasure84 · 01/05/2015 18:47

Nightmare of a day!

I have just eaten non stop and anything in sight. I have managed to go way over calorie allowance. I can't even say it was remotely healthy food - it was largely sweets & chocolate that seem to be constantly at work.

Although very annoyed at myself, there is nothig i can do know. Just need to move onto tomorrow. Wit being ill at start of week and today I wouldn't be suprised if i haven't gained weight at the monday weigh in.

CatthiefKeith · 01/05/2015 22:57

It's not the meal in worried about, it's the booze! Grin

firesafety · 02/05/2015 18:11

Ah well, go and enjoy....
