4pm cravings, how to control them?

I can just about manage for the rest of the day but as soon as we get to about 3/4pm I am ravenous and making toast/eating crisps/cereal anything I can lay my hands on. Even if I have had a decent breakfast and lunch. Tried carrots but they didn't really do much. Please could anyone offer some advice on how to curb this? Thank you! I am about 2 stone too heavy??

I could have written this. I get home from work around this time. I can be fine leaving work and ravenous when I get home 30 minutes later. Doesn't matter what I have for lunch.

I have a coffee or brush teeth or chew gum or drink fizzy water, but the best tip is stay out of the house until tea time!

I recommend drinking water, chewing gum, etc. All the usual stuff. However, make sure you are eating proper meals and perhaps try eating 5 small meals a day rather than 3 large ones. Hope this helps!

It's just a physiological bad habit- 4pm is my cup of tea time which carries me over till 6pm dinner x

I have a banana and a coffee - it's not the perfect solution but it limits the damage

RobotHamster · 24/04/2015 10:34

A handful of almonds does it for me, and a big glass of water
