I would like to lose some weight, about 2 and a half stone.

Never done a 'detox' before

Wondered, as a start to my hopeful weight loss, does anybody know a 'detox' to lose a few pounds and get me started, but one that's do-able!!!!! Got little ones to look after, so need a certain amount of energy!!

Thank you :-))))

best detox

no booze for 5 days
eat from ingredients for 5 days

your kidneys and liver will do the rest

Carol Vorderman's detox for life.

It's a loose, relaxed plan to give you an idea of what to eat and what not to eat. Eat healthily for a bit and you'll soon have much more energy.

You don't need to "detox" unless you're withdrawing from some pretty hardcore drugs. Assuming you have a liver.

These "detox" diets won't do anything for you at all - at least, nothing of benefit aside from the placebo effect (which is not to be disregarded).

Maybe try a couple of sustainable lifestyle tweaks instead. Everything in moderation, don't cut any major food groups out. Perhaps swap a snack and go for a walk?

Well, 'detox' is just a buzzword for a
(major) healthy lifestyle change. I disagree that making a change to healthier foods won't make a difference. You might be surprised how little 'real' food an awful lot of people eat.

If you want a head start try Bootea - 14 day or 28 .. A tea you drink in the am and one every other day at night which (in a polite way) flushes you out as it has senna leaves in it. Been on of the most successful detoxing diets iv heard.

Downsides I managed one day as I have a 4 month old and you are to eat a restricted diet for it to work and so its easier for your body to flush out the toxins! I felt fatigued and headachy.
Detoxing is one of the most intense and hardest things to do and more so if you care for a baby and u need the energy! If you feel you can manage a detox that's the one I would recommend Smile you can find it in any Holland and barretts or online Smile

Hi marmaduke3. Some good advice on here, they are right your body will detox itself. Lifestyle changes are the best to reaching your goals, if you are looking for help though let me know as I might be able to help. The clean 9 and fit training programme have had amazing results and feedback.

Bloody hell! That Bootea stuff costs £20 for 21 teabags Shock

Why don't you try the 5:2 diet where you fast on two days of the week? I would have thought that would be easier than a detox if you are worried about energy levels.

I have got used to going to bed hungry on fast days. The next morning I feel great.
