Hi all, I'm starting my slim fast diet today... Am hoping keeping a blog will make me stay more on track. I'm awful at diets so don't have massive hopes but watch this space. I might be tweeking this diet a bit and only following on weekdays - replacing shakes with healthy foods at weekends.

The plan consists of:

Breakfast - shake
Snack (100 cals)
Lunch - shake
Smack (100 cals)
Dinner - max 600 cals
Snack - (100 cals)

I'm basically planning to have any snack I like although i think ur meant to have fruit/veg only I just could not do that!

Has anyone else had success on this/trying it now?

Wish me luck

So far have had my shake and 1 snack (1 wheetabix with sprinkling of sugar and bit of milk) and I'm so hungry! Will update progress at end of day!

Forgot to write last night... I did stick to the plan. was so starving though and had to have my dinner early! I did have a few cheeky snacks (I doubt amounting to more than 50 cals or so though). Have been reading it is the first few days that are the hardest, today it is not so hard.

Have so far had a shake and a cookie and sugared tea at a mothers group.

weighed myself today and not shed any weight yet but hopefully I will do soon!

If you manage to replace shakes with healthy meals at weekends, could you do it during the week too? A shake is around 200kcal, isn't it? That's a 2 or 3-egg omelette, which would fill you much more than a shake for breakfast.

Your snacks also seem to be almost only carbs - perhaps if you had more protein you would be less hungry.

Good luck anyway Smile.
