Slimming World or Scottish Slimmers?

I have about 4st to lose and I've decided 2015 needs to be the year I change this. I have a DD,3 and we are ttc without success so far - I am sure my weight is not helping. I need to do this and have tried and failed numerous times - 5:2, my fitness pal with little success. I take comfort in food whether I am happy or sad - I use it to "treat" myself as I no longer drink or smoke. I'm desperate to change but I just can't seem to do it on my own so thought joining a slimming group might help. I can't get to meetings due to travel/child care issues but has anyone had success with doing it online? Which is better, slimming world or scottish Slimmers?

They are completely different plans so you need to look at them separately and decide which would work for you. SW is more restrictive in terms of the things you can eat but you can eat as much of them as you need, SS is a lot like Weight Watchers so the plan is more flexible but you need to weigh, measure and track everything.

Thanks for replying. I think I am more tempted to try Sw as opposed to ss as I tried something similar to ww before and found all the weighing and counting very time consuming! I'm also interested in what the online support is like for both since I can't get to a meeting.
