Weightloss in 7 weeks

Hi everyone,

I am going on holiday at the beginning of January with family and really, really want to lose a lot of weight. Weigh 12st10 at the moment ??
How much do you think I can realistically lose in 7 weeks? I've recently joined the gym so plan to go 5 times a week and eat really good.
What would be the best food to eat to ensure rapid weight loss?
Thanks in advance Smile

Realistically a stone. You could lose more in that period, 1.5 - 2 stone perhaps, but you'd be likely to put a lot of it back on during your holiday.

Best food to eat is real food, fruit and veg es and actual meat. Stay away from processed junk and drink lots of water.

If you really want to you could lose over a stone using protein shakes, sole source ( available online, you don't need a 'counsellor' ). Think: "Do it or don't do it, don't 'try' to do it"! Good luck, I am in the same boat!

seaside I'm doing that at the moment and should lose around 21-28lbs... will have to be really disciplined to keep it off over christmas though! Have an important medical appointment in January so hoping that will keep me focused.

Carno, wow that's ambitious, I hope you do it. The shakes work but hard to stick to. I've lost 9 pounds so far, aiming for another stone by Xmas, got to keep off the wine!! Best of luck.

The problem with diets that don't use real food are the danger of subsequent weight gain and going over the start point. Proper use of the gym (tailored resistance programme) is the way to go! If you have it to lose, up to a stone is maximum healthy weight loss in that period. If you had a lot to lose it could be a little more - look for long term change not just the holiday!
