Not lighter life but I'm giving slim and save another attempt today. I think they are similar? This is the safest way for me as portion sizes and over thinking what I'm going to have for my next meal is taken care of. I have 3st to loose. What do you get with lighter life? I get 4 packs with slim and save and they are all suitable for vegetarians Smile

tootsweets · 08/09/2014 20:19

Lighter life is the same. Four packs a day, a range of soups, bars, porridge, shakes and savoury sachets. Special squash mix and unlimited water and black tea. Smile

How did your first day go? Mine went surprisingly well. I only struggled when the children came home from tea. Drank all my water fine. The shakes I've had so far are lovely (just had shakes and a bar yesterday). Going to try a meal today. They are all made with soya protein which suits me as I'm vegetarian.
Didn't get much sleep last night because one child had cramp and the other is on steroids for his chest, but I'm feeling really positive Smile

I did Lighterlife a few years ago. Just go for it! I lost over 4 stone in the 14 weeks. It gets easier as you get used to it, and the significant weekly weight loss is brilliant motivation.
Good luck and drink lots and lots of water. Oh and ignore the nay sayers who will disapprove and try and put you off!

tootsweets · 09/09/2014 21:12

Thank you both. SmileSmile
It's not been so bad. Dividing one of the bars into 6 and eating it as and when throughout the day.
Really struggling to drink the 3 litres of water recommended though.

I used to like having my bar for breakfast with black coffee. Can't remember the name of the nicest one though. Think it maybe was cranberry with white Choc coating? Something like that. And the nut one was nice. It does take a while to get into it ( a good couple of weeks) but use the group to support each other and keep your goal in mind and if you keep it up for a couple of weeks it gets easier. And easier. And then sometimes you won't even want all 4 packs (altho you should have them all for the nutrients). I actually look back on those 4 months fondly. Made some friends in my group, and losing the weight boosted my confidence massively. The before and after pics don't look like the same person. I have them somewhere, must look them out.
Good luck anyway, fingers crossed you lose what you want to.

And I should say that the first few days can be tough. Tired or headachy and snappy etc. Just drink your water, eat your packs and take it easy til your body starts to adjust. Your first weigh in should cheer you up a LOT!

How is today going tootsweets? I can't stomach the meals or soup though so its just shakes/bars for me.

tootsweets · 11/09/2014 18:47

Sorry to disappear. I am finding it very hard. Mainly as I work full time and have 4 children Grin
Have stuck to it rigidly and have been to my first group. First weigh in not until next week though. I started at 14st 10 and am 5ft 4. So have quite a bit to lose. My partner is being amazing though. Very supportive.
Yours going ok?

I have 4 children too 10, 7, 4 and 21mnths. Its bloody tough yesterday I was all positive but today I want a nice big plate of biscuits with hot milk to dip them in. I have 3st to loose I'm 5ft 2 and 12.8. I've gained this 3 stone since april yikes. I've just been on one huge junk food binge. I'm a vegetarian but love macaroni cheese and lots of chocolate and crisps. I. Making myself hungry now.

tootsweets · 11/09/2014 19:55

I'm struggling a bit too tonight. Hmm

I thought I was feeling great yesterday well I'm sweating buckets now, my throat and head hurts and I just want some skips (I sound like I'm 5)

tootsweets · 12/09/2014 20:20

How are you today Squirrel? Smile

Feeling better today stuck at it so feeling more positive. I know why I need to do this as I need to remove all 'normal' foods as I just enjoy eating constantly.
How was today for you? I think the weekend is going to be tough I usually bake a quiche or a quorn pie and have it with creamed leeks but I'm desperately unhappy with how I look.

tootsweets · 14/09/2014 19:31

I went away to Manchester this weekend with my sister. Stayed in a hotel. Had to watch her eat gammon and chips whilst I had my pouch! Same for breakfast Hmm she had a cooked breakfast.
I managed it though and am proud of myself.
Week one done.
Weigh in on Tuesday night, so we will see.
How are you?
