Hello, i had my dd 10 weeks ago and thought it was about time i did some exercise. i used to enjoy running however running whilst carrying what feels like several pints of milk on the front of your chest was very uncomfortable ( also looked a bit stupid running along holding myself ). Tried feeding dd first - not much improvement. Can anyone recommend a good bra?

Sorry - no help - just the thread title made me think you were actually trying to breastfeed your DD while you were jogging. Couldn't picture it...

That title made me lol, gave me an instant image of you jogging along with your dd latched on.

Have you looked at an Enell bra?

NotQuiteCockney would be a good person to ask about this I think. I'm pretty sure she was still running quite a bit when she was breastfeeding.

Hey bran, thanks for letting me know about this thread.

I still breastfeed DS2 (23 months!) and am still bf. I don't think I started running quite so early as you are, but there's no reason not to - we've had women at our running group with 6-week-olds.

I quite like Shock Absorber bras, by Berlei. They're really for larger-norked women (which I am not!), but they hold everything really still, which is great. They have them at John Lewis. They are graded by cup size and activity level (with running/tennis at the top).

Alternatively, go to your local bra shop, try on a tempting bra, and jump up and down a few times to see what it does.

Feeding first, is good, too, but I see you've tried that.

Hi

I started running again when dd3 was 11 weeks old and didn't find it too much of a problem with bf, I'm pretty well endowed so actually wear my normal bf bra when jogging plus a sports bra over the top! (you know the sort like a supportive vest top bra!)
Could you jog with pads in as well?
Good luck!

Thanks,

Off to try on some and do some jumping up and down.
