Hi, I was just wondering if anyone doing weight watchers can try and answer me a couple of questions! I started ww last week and havent got to grips with it yet. If something ive eaten hasnt got the points in the book, do i go to the nearest thing to it and try figure it out that way? Does it matter if im not exact to my points, say if i was 1 or 2 out, would it still work? I would appreciate any help with this, also im not the greatest cook ever and really dont have lots of time, just wondering if anyone has any good meal ideas? All help greatly appreciated.

If its a packet you work out the points for yourself using the calories and saturated fat guide (you'll find it at the back of your book .. separate bit tucked in the cover)

don't guess

.. any vegetable meal cooked without fat a good bet .. veg curry / minestrone soup .. chicken legs roasted in the oven with spray light are 1 point each .. hth

I found that 1 or 2 points out for the whole week is okay, but 1 or 2 points a day is not. You shouldn't gain weight, but you won't lose much either.

In your pack you should have got a points calculator thingy - a piece of cardboard really - you work out the points from the calories and fat (in grams) per serve.

I actually started cooking because of WW - their recipes are quite easy. There are a few that require a bit of preparation, and marinating but cook fairly quickly. They've got a few recipes in the handbook and they have monthly magazines/booklets at the meetings. Also, the website has a few as well.

They left my calculator thingy out too, but I found a cheat version as well that you can do. I'll have to find it for you.

Yes, I lost weight - in fact I just reached my goal weight so I am very pleased. 22 pounds in just under 3 months. Definitely worth it!

Hope it works for you too!
