Goal weight? And how the hell to do you maintain?

I've lost about a stone and a half since mid November. It's been bloody hard as I'm a bit of a greedy gut at heart. Weight watchers and running seems to have done the trick. I'm now 10stone and am about 5ft 5. I'm thinking another half a stone as a goal. Does that sound alright or should I be aiming lower? Also, I've been here so many times before and put the weight back on over a year or so…any tips from people who have kept it off?

Weigh yourself every morning/week so you can see if the weight is coming back and take action before it turns into half a stone.

Yeah, I think when thing creep up to half a stone it starts a slippery slope. Last half a stone proving hard to shift. Maybe reduce points allowance?

I don't know anything about weight watchers, sorry.

So I make an effort to be more restrained if I see my weight creeping up (have a tendency to be greedy if I don't watch myself!). It's easy to gain half a stone if you're not paying attention. I think that's the key. As long as you're aware you can keep on top of it.

Well done on losing the weight. Trouble with diets is that most (not all) people statistically do put the weight back on again and again. The answer for me was to stop dieting and eat whatever I want when genuinely really hungry and stop as soon as im satisfied. Never feel that Im missing anything. Have lost weight slowly and in between always maintain. If I diet or even think about dieting (which I havnt done for over 10 years) I immediately feel deprived and then become very disordered in my eating.
