Alcohol is OK as long as it's a spirit and low-cal mixer. White wine is OK in moderation. Beer and cider is out. There are less carbs than calories in alcohol so it's more allowed than calorie counting diets. However the 2-week induction is a no-no for booze.

None of the thing you mention. Try to go for 'clean' foods - ie fresh meat rather than processed meat, dirro fish, no convenience foods. So lots of meat, fish, eggs, minimal dairy (no milk at all if poss), lots of fresh green veg and salad. berry fruits and cream are ok but not too much. Oh and gallons of water..at least 3 litres a day.

ANd I second the bit about not doing to for 5 weeks. It's meant to be a permanent way of life. I'm weaning myself off after 18 months and being very carefil but I've already put on half a stone . I know it's tempting but it's meant to be a long-term thing.

However..good luck!

avoid veggies eg carrots peas, head for leafy like salad, spinachc .an't you get book out of library, or even buy it? It's only a fiver. I started over a week ago and have lost 3 lbs, which I've tried to shift for months by conventional means, so I'm very happy, but can easily see me sticking to it long term. not too much of a hardship for me to give up eg bread, potatoes & pasta
