Depressed myself today by calculating my BMI...it is 30 so I am obese Shock!!! A couple of lbs down and I will be "just" overweight. For my height, to have a healthy BMI the most I can weigh is 11 st 10lbs so I have 2 st 8lb to lose.

I know I look good at 12st 7lb....so what do you base your goal on???

you set your goal at 7lb lighter than you are today.
And when you are there - which should only take a few weeks - set a new goal.
Small steps leaves less chance of failure.

Another goal is to get your waist to below half your height (a standard measure of excess fat around the dangerous middle)

Another goal is to go through your wardrobe and pick a piece of clothing you want to get back into and aim for that.

The scales are not the be all and end all - if nothing else because we each have a different build.

Start with 7lb.
Have a look at eatriskier and BsshBossh s pictures to see what can be achieved.
