I am ending the 2nd week of the cambridge diet. I was wondering if there was anybody else on here doing the diet?

Love the diet - it is hard but I can feel the weight dropping off.

Emily-I started the diet on the 17th Feb and have lost 3.5 stone so far(still lots more to go,thoughBlush).I've come off the diet for about 4 weeks, due to birthdays and holidays coming up,and will hopefully get"back on track" very soon.I found it very easy to start with and the weight fell off very quick, but when you have a bad week,it's fairly hard to get back on itSad.How much have you lost so far?
There are a few of us doing the Cambridge diet,so hopefully some others will be along soon, and make themselves knownGrin.

Good luck and keep posting!

Bubbaloo - welldone for your weightloss! That is great. I know what you mean about falling off of the wagon - it is so hard to go back. I have done this so many times. This diet I have told all of my friends and family that until I have lost the weight (which will take a while) dont invite me to anything that involves food because I wont come!!

Last week was my first week - lost 7 pounds, I get weighed again tomorrow.
Have you seen that guy whos was on GMTV's blog? He lost a load of weight on the diet - it has given me loads of tips. If you havent seen it - I will post a link.

I have a load to loose to (about 8 stone) so have a feeling that this will be a long road!!
I hope that you can get back on track. Its so hard isnt it? x

Congrats on that first half a stoneGrin.

No,I didn't see GMTV.If you could post a link that'll be great pleaseWink.

It is really hard now the summer is here.Ds is having his first birthday "party" tomorrow,we're off out for our anniversary in the week, then it's my birthday, then we go on our hols.My brother also got married a couple of weeks ago and I've had soooooo many lunches out recently, meeting new people that I can hardly sit there and not eatGrin.

I will definately go back on it as I also have another 4.5 stone to go(making it 8!).I've also Ebayed all my clothes and bought a whole new wardrobe not only in my new size, but also the next size down too, just to keep me motivatedGrin.Saying that,I think I have probably put about 7lbs back on,but once I go back on it,I can lose that in a weekWink.

Hi, I am just finishing my first week of sole source cambridge. It seems that I have not lost as much as others on this and wondered if anyone else has had similar expe - am worried that I have a thyroid prob.

I lost 5lbs after a full week of sole source.

Hi - I've just done my first week on Sole Source and have lost 8 lbs. Very pleased with the weight loss but am getting a bit bored with it. I need to stay motivated - any tips??

RuthT · 19/06/2006 19:45

Now you see I was expecting to lose 7-8. And I swear not a morsel has pased my lips. I have really impressed myself.

Bradsmum, one of the girls at work has lost 3.5 st and said the weight lose motivated her. In terms of the food she found making up a mouse very useful as she felt it helped psycologically

emily05 · 21/06/2006 08:42

Hi I find if I am hungry that if I drink water it helps. I also find the moose good. If it gets too much I go for a long walk! I have lost 1 stone in 2 weeks - so stick with it it does work.
As well as doing the diet I am keeping a journal to look at the reasons why I eat too much and that has helped.
A couple of good website
this website has tips and a forum
this is a blog of a guy who lost 7 stone in 6 months he has recipies on his blog and loads of helpful hints - sometimes his site doent work but it seems ok at the moment. He is a real inspiration - look at the photos.

HOw are you all getting on? Are you back on the diet Bubbaloo? x

Well done to everyone who's losing weight and Ruth,5lb's IS really good too.I lost 10lbs on my first week of sole source, but was drinking LOTS of water. If you try and up your water intake,it does help,so don't be despondant.

Emily-No,I'm not back on it yet.Ds had his first birthday on Monday and we've got a very sociable few weeks,as we're off on our hols at the weekend.I shall definately be going back on it at the beginning of July though,as I have put about 10lb's of it back on.Although I'm disappointed,it's not too bad as I've done really well to lose what I have and I'll easily lose what I've gained over the last few weeks, when I get back on track...she says.

Keep it up,girls.

Hi - am seriously thinking about lighterlife or cambridge diet - do not want to be fat and forty. I have about 4 stone to lose. Why is cambridge so hard - is it just boredom or do you get hungry?

TIA
x

Bubbaloo · 03/07/2006 20:27

Mummycan-I honestly don't get hungry on the CD,but after a few weeks boredom does set in and you start fancying things you shouldn't.I've been off the diet for about 4 weeks now and have put about a stone of what I've lost back on,but am going straight back on the diet on Friday.I know it will only be a couple of weeks before I lose it and then I still have about 5.5 stone left to go.

mummycan · 04/07/2006 09:34

Bubbaloo

I am swinging between CD and lighterlife but I would like to lose the weight - do you feel that you will be able to maintain your weight loss - which by theway is fabulous - well done

I personally would stay with the CD as it's about half the price of LL,unless you particulary want the counselling that goes with it.
I'm also hoping that after losing all the weight that it will stay off, providing I'm sensible and obviously don't go back to overeating as I was beforehand.I do know a couple of people who have lost alot on the CD and have kept it off for the past 2 years,so I am quite hopefull that I'll do the same.
Let us know what you decide to do and when you start your diet-good luck.

mummycan · 04/07/2006 13:55

I have called the woman for a consultation! Can't really start until September but may as well put wheels in motion!

laughinglil · 04/07/2006 14:30

go for it! best diet I have ever done. I lost 4 stone in total taking my weight to 9 stone 8. I have maintained since the end of march..of course piling on a few pounds and losing it again! It really is a worthwhile diet and you see results fast. I didn't really get any compliments whilst dieting it is only now people say wow you look really good! That is what keeps me motivated!
Dress size doesn't matter to a lot of people but I think yes I can fit into a size 10! Woo hoo. Think of your goal and keep it in your head. Take one day at a time and don't look at it like omg I won't eat for 6 months (or however long) as this will only discourage you to cheat! Good luck!

mummycan · 04/07/2006 16:17

Very ispiring LL - I would LOVE to be a size 10.

Thanks

mummycan · 04/07/2006 16:18

inspiring even

RuthT · 16/07/2006 19:15

Wow - 9st 8 that is my goal too. I need to lose another 15lbs - but I have lost 10 already - gone back to eating normally and pout on a few pounds but CD works for me - I def eat less now
