Until I have to be in a bikini Shock

I want to lose 7 - 10 pounds and tone up. Will I be able to do it in a month???

I WILL shred every day Grin plus a half hour walk 5 days a week.

My diet:

Bfast: small skinny latte, yakult and apple

Lunch: sandwich - small slice brown bread, with one slice jarslburg cheese (pre sliced so thin) cuecumber and 2 slices wafer thin ham. And a ski yogurt.

Dinner: homemade veg soup with whole meal roll
Or salmon/chicken with brown pasta, peas, broccoli
and a little bit of grated cheese
Or 2 egg omlette with tomato, spinach, mushroom

and cheese.

Snacks: strawberries, grapes, cherry tomatoes and a nectarine.

Is this ok? Will I be able to do it?? My confidence has been on the floor this year and I have two beautiful bikinis that I want to feel good in Smile

Anyone with any advice or wanting to join is welcome!!

I'm going on holiday in a month and I need to loose some weight and tone up.

I didn't think I was that bad until I saw a photo of myself in my bikini last week that DS had taken it was awful!

Your meal plan sounds good.

I need to shred too but I always loose motivation.

AntoinetteCosway · 04/08/2013 09:58

That doesn't look like much food-and definitely not enough given how much exercise you're planning to do. Sign up to myfitnesspal instead-you can set it to help you lose 2lbs a week which the max that's suggested as a healthy loss. In 5 weeks that would be 10lbs.

WeAreEternal · 04/08/2013 12:32

I've just done day 1 of shred.

Have you done yours yet Nutritious?

I had a poached egg white and half a greapfruit for breakfast.
And I'm going to have a salad of spinich, lettuce, cucumber chickpeas with some lemon juice squeezed over for lunch.

NutritiousAndDelicious · 04/08/2013 13:22

I did my first one last night, day two will be tonight. I tend to lose motivation on day 3 or 4 but I won't this time!

I don't have a big apatite generally, just have been eating the wrong foods

Your lunch sounds lovely btw!

It was lovely. :)

I don't weigh myself, I never have. For me it's not about numbers, it's just about how I look and feel.

I went for a run last nigh, something I haven't done in quite a while.
I made a curry in the slow cooker for dinner last night, carrots, potato, onions, spinach and tomatoes.
I just added some herbs and spices and water and left it to cook. It nice.

This morning I have had a two egg white omelette with spinach.

I was going to attempt day two of shred this morning but I think I will do it after work.

I think if we can encourage each other we should be able stick to it.

Where are you going on holiday?

NutritiousAndDelicious · 05/08/2013 19:59

Hi! I weighed myself today, I'm 9st 6. I'm only 5ft 2, so would like to get down to 8st 10! Not sure if I can get that far in 4 weeks so ill he happy with 9.

Your food sounds so yummy, I'm jealous Grin I'm going to do the shred in about an hour when DS finally goes to sleep!

It makes me sleep so much better when i do it in the evening.

I did stick to my diet today, but had a Freddie frog chocolate bar because I got stuck in the rain and got absolutely drenched, so it cheered me up, and only 95 cals, so not that bad!

I'm off to Majorca, how about you?

Your chocolate frog is better than the 8 chocolate fingers I had for desert.

Although the rest of my days meals were less than 700 calories, with no carbs and I've been for a jog and done shred (according to my fitness pal) so I think I earned the chocolate fingers.

We are going to St. Lucia.

WeAreEternal · 05/08/2013 21:05

That should have read

That will teach me for going back and changing what I've written without reading it.

AntoinetteCosway · 06/08/2013 09:47

700cal in a day? Albeit plus the chocolate fingers? That is really, really not healthy if that's what you mean. I don't mean to be all preachy-I say this as someone who has lost 5 stone-a diet that low in calories can only lead to one or more of failure/eating disorder/pain. Seriously. You need at least 1200 cals a day of healthy food to lose weight at a sensible pace.

WeAreEternal · 06/08/2013 13:43

Thank you for your input but I don't really believe in the whole idea of calories equaling health.

I eat decent meals, and I am not hungry so I think my diet is fine. Because I don't eat dairy, meat and very little carbs it just happens that my meals are low in calories, it doesn't mean my diet is unhealthy.

Around 1000 calories a day is usual for me, I'm n

WeAreEternal · 06/08/2013 13:46

I'm not one for counting calories but on the recommendation of a friend I downloaded the my fitness pal app as it is supposed to help with motivation by keeping a diet diary.

WeAreEternal · 06/08/2013 13:49

My diet is pretty much the same as normal, I have just cut out carbs, which is what I did last time I lost weight.
