Anyone tried meal replacement shakes?

Have been using them for nearly a week now. Just wanted to know if anyone on here has tried them before? And if so did they work?

I haven't, but don't recommend them if you want a healthy relationship with food.

Do you want to drive it home to yourself that you can't be trusted around real food? Thereby ensuring that you'll lose control when you let yourself near it?

Do you want to keep yourself craving oversweet, processed dessert "food"?

Do you want to fill the pockets of an evil food corporation that's exploiting your desire to slim?

Then keep on with those shakes...

Far better IMHO to jack in the dieting. Once you have a healthy relationship with food again, it is likely to be reflected in your figure.

All the best.

I agree with squishes, but I''ve tried them and found them useful if you need to eat quickly and can't be bothered with anything else. And you know exactly what you''re getting.

Yes, lost 40lbs in 12 weeks. Kept every lb off. I'm back on them for the last stone.

Thanks for the replies!
I know they're not an option long term but I just don't seem to be able to stick to dieting without having somethimg to follow (pathetic I know).
I still eat one normal meal a day and snack on fruit/vegetables between meals so I'm not completely reliant on them.
I think in a way I now have a better attitude towards food. Would never have looked forward to eating an apple before Grin
That might be more to do with feeling better than when I was snacking on biscuits and crisps than the shakes though!
Wow 40 pounds that's amazing congratulations!
I'm aiming for about 12 for now.

I know someone who lost their hard to shift last stone using shakes and so they worked for her, but I don't think she kept it off long term.

Personally, I tried for a week and found I started eating normal food inbetween so in fact put weight on as I was so hungry in between shakes.
